Langley coaching staff on the chopping block? Cant seem to ever win the big game, with all that talent....

They're 12-4 and played in the district final. They are not on the chopping block.

Until they are... Cant win the big game. It was stated early this year also.... Playoff lacrosse comes down to coaching and execution.

Liberty District Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year. Ridiculous to suggest suggest that.

Langley parent here. Congrats to Yorktown on a great game. Yorktown has improved a lot over the season and had a good game plan. They move the ball well, lots of good cutting and great transition game. Hate to see anyone talking badly about their goalie. He probably gave up more goals than he wanted but made some really tough saves too. #31 did a good job containing our best guy for a good portion of the game. Good clean game too. I think there was one offsides penalty on Langley and that was it, which is not typical for a Langley/Yorktown match. I'm taking some comfort in the fact that we put up 5 more goals on Yorktown than Robinson did and 6 more than Madison and Broadneck. We have a much tougher road now but hopefully we will see you again.

Langley's OC might be the best in the State, they look completely different on that end of the field as they did last year. Very impressed.

Yorktown seems to be a balanced offensive and defensive threat. Going to be a tough team to beat this year. Yorktowns defense consist of almost all seniors except for 2 juniors- going to be a hard recovery year after this season however never underestimate coach beer and his staff.

The number of offensive weapons Langley has is a testament to their staff - player development is an underrated aspect of coaching

Why would you think that? I've seen more commentary on last night's game than any single game all year, and I assume that most is from Langley or Yorktown parents, given their level of detail about the game. If by "quiet" you mean a lack of trash talk, there has been none of that from either team, given that the teams played two great games separated by one only goal (9-8 and 15-13), both teams are near the top of the state, and the players on both teams seem to respect each other.
so maybe there hasn't been the type of posting you wanted, but there are plenty of posts from Langley parents in the last 16 hours, including this one!

Agree with the above comments - not sure who is bashing Langley, but they have a contending team and are still in the top 4-5. Lots of offensive weapons/options. Will be interesting Madison/Langley matchup if first round of regions goes as seeded.

I think the previous poster was referring to lack of commentary regarding how good Langley was, since prior to Tuesday there had been quite a copious amount of comments saying that Langley was going to win. Yorktown then controlled the entire game and won without a doubt. So yes, Langley parents (apart from the ones actually being wholesome and accepting defeat), have been quite quiet lately

1. Robinson
2. Madison
3. Yorktown
4. Battlefield
5. Langley
6. Freedom
7. McLean
8. Cosby
9. Hayfield
10. Who knows? Could make the case for a bunch of teams. Deep Run or Patriot maybe. WestPo but they didn't show up last night. Oakton played Madison well recently.

I will give my best guess at Region 6D. I want to state from the beginning that these probably won't be what they are going to be, but rather who I think deserves it. I am also a Liberty District dad so most information I have about Concorde comes from Instagram so particularly certain Madison players might not get the recognition they deserve. (Note I know that some teams have already released theirs so I will include those.)

First Team

Attack
Hudson Greene - Senior - Yorktown
Alex Haag - Senior - Langley
Will Rubley - Senior - Madison

Midfield
