The Golden Bachelor

Truthfully there’s a lot of errors, typos ,when you text ,talk text, what difference does it make? People are just expressing an opinion they’re not here for a grammar lesson. Seriously arrogant and to those who are surprised do you not have children or had children in our schools in this country? The grammar is atrocious, the teachers are stressed out with what is expected of them from everybody. There is no other career on the planet that does that and pays nothing. Just be grateful. Let’s all stop judging each other because we’re all guilty of something stupid!

Stop judging and stop correcting peoples grammar.
Who do you think you are doing that? everybody hates people like that!

Right? It's as if people who are not as well educated or who struggle with writing a sentence perfectly can never comment on threads.
Stop. We all know what they mean.

I consider posting here to be about the equivalent of texting. I don’t care about grammar so much as a clear message. I will have subject verb agreement and I don’t expect to be critiqued. This isn’t grade school. No one here is my mother or teacher.

I love hearing everybody’s different opinions, you learn a lot. Otherwise you might as well. Just talk to yourself in the mirror if you just want to hear yourself talk.

Do you mean "If I were her"?

Aargh, “if I were she” is correct. Review high school grammar before you try to correct someone.

Exactly. "I" is subjective case, and so is "she." "Were" is in the subjunctive.

Just because it's formally correct does not mean that it's the way normal people talk. It makes you sound like a pretentious a-hole.

I saw an interview with Leslie and she said she heard he proposed to Teresa in the suite that night, right after he told her how amazing she was. He’s just one of those men that does that you know the kind of man that does that ,he’s probably always done it.
Can’t fix

If you were on the show, you'd probably bail smartly, like Joan.
I think he really wanted to do Leslie and lied his way into making it happen. The fantasy suite was totally private - the excuse that the producers told him what to say doesn't fly.

It will also be wildly inappropriate for a second wedding. Theresa has zero fashion sense and even less understanding of class. Remember that romper she wore in Costa Rica?

Wildly inappropriate for a second wedding? You know she is a widow right? Not twice divorced or something?

Lol. I honestly can't believe the poor grammar on these threads.

I have a graduate degree in English and I don’t care. This is the equivalent of texting. Get over yourselves.

Wow. No, that's a normal way to speak unless you had a deficient education.

PS: But nobody would have cared if you (or another PP) hadn't jumped on something that was perfectly fine. If you are going to criticize, how about getting it right?

Why so mean spirited about Theresa and her wedding? Second wedding inappropriate ?Isn’t that what everybody was rooting for to find love when you’re old? My guess there’s a lot of jealous women on this site who would do in a heartbeat if they could.
Get over yourselves.

DP, I would absolutely not do Gerry in a heartbeat. Oh, that's not appealing in the slightest, sorry.
