Should I have a second kid at 38 (DH 52), or are we just too old?

I had one at 39. DH was 39 too. I think we are too old. The only silver lining is that there are older bio siblings and we were able to put them as legal guardians when they came of age in our will etc. Now kid is a young adult so it is ok.
My regret is that my youngest kid will have less time with me and DH in life. But, it has been a joy to parent this child and it has completed the family for my older children to have this sibling. But, you do you. We are legal immigrants without family support in this family. So our take on things is different. Plus we are brown, non-Christian etc. So, USA remains a dangerous place for us in current situation. |

| Yes. You DH would be ,72 when kid was 30. Of course this presumes that your DH would still be alive and I. Good health. |
