postal service warns it will not deliver mail-in ballots on time

LaJoy backs down, well, to an extent. They need to re-install the sorting machines that had been removed.

But the good news, by backing down, it helps the legal cause the states had, because it acknowledges the problem.

Dude is getting horrid legal advice, but at least it benefits the American people.

That's all well and good but that doesn't excuse trying to delay the mail during a pandemic in order to sabatoge mail in voting.

Congress has certainly screwed up and over the USPS. There does need reform and updating. Things such as postal banking should happen. But let's not pretend that this is some honest attempt to fix the USPS. Trump has been quite clear why he's doing it and why he's doing it now.

LOL, blaming it on Obama.

Could the US government contract with Amazon to handle the election mail-in votes?

Except they want people to vote in person because with the electronic machines, the votes cannot have a paper trail. That is why mail-in is so important. The Trump campaign is sending out mailers encouraging its voters to vote absentee.

My Mont County MD mail in primary never got registered in May or June, per the tracker system. Too much fraud risk with mailing out and mailing in ballots. that's why no country would have a national election with it.

WIsconsin had people vote in person and had no spike in cases, hospitalizations nor deaths.

Seriously, how is this not illegal? The new postal service inspector deliberately sabotaged it. And Trump refuses to let congress provide funds to solve the problem.

I know what we should do! GIVE THEM BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. That will magically fix anything! Just hand over billions of dollars to a dysfunctional, mis-managed government organization.

And Democrats love to crow about how their enormous protests caused "no Covid spikes." So then, there should be no worries with in-person voting.

And you think that voting should have to take hours as it did for many in that state? Does that strike you as a very American sentiment?

Better just to let the states vote via the mail as is the law in many states.

While it has issues, the main problem is constraint by the GOP Congress in 2005 - first forcing the USPS to pre-fund 75 yeras worth of pensions and then second, constraining any innovation such as allowing banking on site or acting as an internet/broadband hub for rural areas.

It needs reform, but what DeJoy is doing is outright fraud.

Except it is on a weekday when many people who still have jobs are unable to take time off in areas where polling places have been consolidated causing 5-8 hour lines.

What? Do you even research before you post? Switzerland and Germany, for anyone who wants it, and many countries have the option to do so if they wish. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_voting

At some point you might realize that if you’re having to consistently lie, perhaps your position isn’t as strong as you like to believe.

God you are stupid. Mail in voting is the least secure, most susceptible to fraud. Do you not want a legitimate election?
Oh, but you don’t, because when Trump wins you need an excuse, however fictional, to claim election fraud, racism, voter suppression. I see you.

Lol. You goobers think wearing a mask is a sacrifice on par with organ donation, but here you are saying if someone has to stand in line so long that they need to pack a meal and wear comfortable shoes, that’s just fine.
