Nope, my husband took a job in London ten years ago when we were young and newly married. I worked up until our third kid. London is our home now for sure (we are all UK citizens at this point). |
I think 5+ is more than normal. I wouldn't necessarily judge the parents negatively, though. My DD's friend has six siblings and their family seems to be very happy.
I think of 4 as more than average, but still normal. |
Maybe it's where you live? I grew up UMC on the west coast and am now UMC on the east coast and with the exception of one family, all the ones I know with four kids are very wealthy. |
My SIL and BIL have 4 and they also claim to be laid back but what it really means is that they are lazy and their kids are starved for attention and engage in undesirable behavior to get their parents' attention. Now, I have plenty of friends with 4 kids who have their lives together, but I always raise my eyebrows at people who claim to be so laid back, especially ones who are as nasty and judgmental as you. |
You know what's weird? I have two girls and I am very rarely (maybe once?) asked if we are going to try for a boy. My best friend has two boys like you and she gets asked if she wants a girl. My girls are also twins and people always want to know if they're from IVF (they're not, but why is it any of your business?). People suck. Enjoy your boys, PP! It sounds like your family is perfect for you! |
