But shouldn't there be a maximum amount of time you have a temporary security clearance? If you can't pass a clearance in a year, then you probably have a problem. Particularly for a high level position--it's not like the FBI can't find the time to do the interviews...

If so, it may have been through that relationship that Porter first came into the White House's orbit, and Mr. Kushner may very well have been aware of the previous "rumors" about his ex-wives. Also, both Hope Hicks and Sarah Huckabee Sanders adamantly defended, in drafting or making statements, Mr. Porter, until the last possible moment. This was done even though Hicks and Sanders were surely aware of the domestic violence allegations. John Kelly is not the only reprehensible White House actor in this particular saga.

Considering that two ex-wives and an ex-girlfriend have accused him of abuse I think it's safe to say there is a pattern here. It probably goes back to college. So yeah, it's doubtful that someone who has known him for two decades is unaware of his "tendencies."

Kelly needs to order an immediate review and tell people that unless they qualify for a permanent security clearance they need to leave, no exceptions.

The two ex-wives of Rob Porter, the White House aide who resigned today in the wake of domestic abuse allegations, revealed to DailyMail.com they were in contact with a third woman who is believed to be his longtime girlfriend.

The woman, is 34 and works for the federal government in Washington D.C.

DailyMail.com is declining to name her because she is an alleged victim of domestic abuse and she has not come forward. Repeated attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful.

Porter, 40, had been living with the willowy blonde political appointee, who split with him around Thanksgiving, after discovering suggestive text messages between Porter and White House communications director Hope Hicks, one of Trump's closest and most trusted advisors.

That would make too much sense for this administration.

I'm not going to say that. Some people are very good at keeping their separate lives separate. It's possible that Jared and Ivanka didn't know any of this. Kelly, however, knew that his right hand man couldn't get a security clearance, and probably knew why.

Everyone knew or had heard rumors, they just overlooked it because professionally and socially he was such a great guy.

The “girlfriend” wrote to McGahn — who, as you’d expect at this point —did nothing.
