Clear them of what? I've yet to see a street that was truly snow covered and even if I had the standard for plowing is a minimum of three inches before a plow can touch the pavement.

+1 There's no reason our kids couldn't have gone to school today.

Always funny that folks bring up how many inches of snow we got when ice was the concern...but hey, don't let facts get in the way of a good argument.

FWIW, I thought a 2 hour delay was appropriate but the main road in our neighborhood (the one that the school buses travel) was pretty icy and it goes downhill into a major thoroughfare. Many cars have slid down that hill and into the intersection. When I wake up and that road has not been treated, it is a pretty good indication that school will be closed.
