Does anyone realize that if you immigrate to this country legally you are eligible for NO college financial aid or scholarships if you are not a citizen? But if you are illegal from El Salvador you are supposed to get all expenses paid? What?

In what country could our American citizens immigrate to en masse and get free healthcare, recreation, schooling, legal advice etc. Nowhere because nowhere else is as stupid as Montgomery County maryland. If you want to immigrate to Canada and stay it is a long process and you need skills:

In this country we are kicking out our skilled immigrant workforce after their visas run out - I’ve had coworkers doing great work in a technical field of work (productive workers with families and lives) sent home mid job, but if you are illegal from El Salvador you can stay here in Montgomery County forever?

Good grief! These illegal Salvadoran immigrants are going to use their new libraries and schools and then crowd everyone out of college with their free education. Then Whitman kids will have to go to places like Oberlin or some other hell hole.

People of Montgomery County met one day and agreed that group sex in the bathroom with 13 year old girls is ok. That's how people in Montgomery County think if nobody sets them straight.

Well sure. Crime happens everywhere, in the nicest places in broad daylight. But you can make common sense decisions. A place crowded with families and runners etc during the day is safer than an isolated space in the dark. Act accordingly.

The point is that places which were perfectly safe in the daytime 3 years ago are no longer safe. Wheaton is over run with gang activity. My friend is a detective and she absolutely will not go to Wheaton Regional any time of day.

What does she think the danger is at Wheaton Regional? I take my child there all the time and see lots of other families doing the same. The drive over is a lot more dangerous.

We also go to Dave and Busters (which is less healthy) but the police seem afraid to go there unless they are dressed in full combat gear like they are ready to storm a beach under heavy fire.

There have been several gang related crimes in Wheaton Regional, both publicized and unpublicized.

I have posted on this thread and live in silver Spring, just north of Wheaton regional.

I am most definitely not worried about the fool in the link above crowding my kid out of college. Not even in the slightest.

However, I am concerned by the increase in gang related crime in the county. And, I’m concerned about the gang presence in schools that my kids attend. You are nuts to pretend that an increase in gang violence in MoCo is in any way NBD.
