One of the articles said GPA of 101.4 so assuming that's weighted GPA, is that equivalent to approximately 4.03 weighted GPA? That seems low for selective colleges let alone Ivys.

They are admitting parents bank account and connections. Kids don't have to do much. Just be a decent student with no record.

No for public high school graduate. 4.03 weighted gpa would mean plenty of Bs and Cs. Wonder how many white/Asian would be admitted to Ivy schools with more than few Bs and Cs?

Self fullfilling prophecy of grade inflated high school records earning these upper middle class students from wealthy suburbs admission to Ivies where the grade inflation continues. These upper middle school high school students with their inflated GPAs and honor rolls can afford to take multiple SAT/ACT prep classes in middle and high school then super score their multiple attempts at the ACT and SAT to earn top SAT and ACT scores by 11th and 12th grade fall semester. In between years, these upper middle school wall street bound students spend time volunteering in hospitals and mess halls or tutoring/conversing with village kids while on safari in Kenya for the summers.

No wonder most college Professors claim these students can't write, or speak, and have weak math skills!!!

If Nigerians are into academics and science, where are they? I have not heard of any Nigerians at TJ (I have seen 1 from Caribbean Island) and there virtually none (probably 1 or 2) in my son's math/science/engineering classes at his university. 80-90% are Asians/white.

Your world sounds quite small and VA-centric. Not everyone is interested in the TJ to UVA pipeline. It appears that you'll find all the Nigerians you'll ever need at Ivy League universities. According to this NY Times article, many Nigerians appear a lot more interested in business and finance and, specifically, Harvard Business School. Here's a bit more on her qualifications:

1. She is her school's valedictorian;
2. She has a GPA of 101.64;
3. She is a finalist in the 2016 Intel Science Talent Search for her research on cement that could help prevent underwater oil rigs from rupturing. She also received an invitation to the White House Science Fair; and
4. She will have taken 13 Advanced Placement courses by the time she graduates.

I don't know her unweighted GPA, but it was enough to beat EVERY SINGLE WHITE AND ASIAN STUDENT in her graduating class because she's the valedictorian.
