Welp we're in the mid 200s... so we're screwed.

Until 4/4

After the initial offers, does the acceptance period shorten? Just trying to figure out when I might get an offer for pk3 with my high-30 spot?

So, it looks like this list must be admitted and waitlist - as the person who posted with twin PK3s & DC PK4 - confirmed they are PH, PH & EH on the list and they received a confirmation email they were admitted. So, it would be nice to know how many spots there were for each, so we could see our true position on the waitlist.

Hi - could you please explain how/if this would impact PK4? I've read through all 13 pages of this tread and it seems as if it would only impact PK3 despite both PK3&4 being combined classrooms.

Insight greatly appreciate.

Thanks!

I'm wondering this too, why would there be less PK4 spots in a new class?

I don't think anyone (other than the principals) knows just how many PK3 vs PK4 seats respectively would be added if the DCPCSB approves the request. It would be less than ideal to have a one class full of newbie PK3 and PK4 kids, none of whom are used to dual-language and Montessori. So there would probably be shuffling of children from other communities and she may decide to have more/less of one grade (3 vs 4) than the other.

If we get called off the waitlist, how do the two campuses factor in? Would we get offered a spot at a particular campus or would we be able to say that we prefer one over the other?

Also, which grades are offered at which campuses?

Primary and Elementary are offered at Missouri.

Primary, Elementary, and Upper Elementary are offered at South Dakota.

You are given a spot at a particular campus, but once there is movement they will do their best to accommodate you. Since you're getting in off the waitlist it might be more difficult, but not impossible to switch between the two campuses.

No idea, sorry. I know people here posted about the waitlist going into the 50s last year, but I'm not certain that is true. You could very well get a spot if they lease more space at Perry St Prep. Of course this means it will probably only be at the South Dakota Campus. Hope that works for you!

Mid 50s last year is true. But they only got that far a few weeks after school started.

Ah I see. So you had to wait until the school year at that point. Still I would have jumped for a spot.

Hi friends. I just asked the LAMB admin. They only initially accepted 12 pk-3 (or 10 but I think they said 12). And no pk-4.
For comparison, last year they initially accepted 27 pk-3 and 4 or so pk-4. So unless they open up a new class, chances are unlikely the wait list will reach the depths of last year. But it will still move!! Good luck!

Ugh. Not a lot of room for movement for the existing classes, at least.

This contradicts what a PP said about her PK4 child being admitted...

Well they said that is where they were on the lists. So I bet the pk-4er got in from pk-3 sibling getting in?
