I don't want to wear the hospital gown.

It's 2016. Not everyone delivers with an OB. Take it to the other thread.

Midwives don't use protective gear?

Enjoy your placenta smoothie!

Because everyone who delivers with a midwife is insane?

Because women who choose to eat placenta are insane?

Mine wore scrubs and gloves. Boots, seriously? We aren't horses or cows.

I had a CNM and did not eat my placenta. Do you always make poor assumptions?

Right, I know I'm not a cow. But childbirth it is rather messy. Better they wear boots than potentially worrying about their shoes and minding where they put their feet in my opinion. They do stand close to the action so to speak. But hey, maybe your midwife didn't mind.

She didn't, and yet somehow she stayed clean. My goodness.

That's you. Some people remain as modest as they can.

Everyone told me I would end up naked, and it never happened.

Do you have sex with a hole in the sheet, too?

I'm a new poster, and while I definitely love naked sex,
I don't love Laboring naked. Don't think the sex/labor connection you are trying for is working. VERY different experiences.

I love that this thread is 14 pages long.

I had so much amniotic fluid that they had to change the sheets, the doctor had to 100% change clothes and they gave me new gowns..

I'd say be prepared to change your mind, though I hope the person who invented "pretty pushers" is a fricking millionaire!!
