Be honest - is there a specific group in which you are prejudiced?

Wow...that's a tough choice.

Seriously. People forget that our ancestors the came here also tended t stock together in groups and not assimilate. My Italian grandparents spoke broken English at best. Americans flock to other countries to become expats and don't always bother learning the native language.

Sure. And you know exactly who Republicans are from looking at them. We all have a large “R” emblazoned on our foreheads.

many times it is easy to tell about people's political affiliations right off the bat from how they present themselves--what kind of car they drive, where they shop/what types of products they buy, their bumper stickers, the way they dress/brands they wear...sure I've been wrong but generally, it's not that hard to figure out who's who when it comes to politics...also, you don't have to immediately know who belongs to which group to be prejudiced against a group of people

Yes. Those who have been here for decades and still cannot speak English.

Manhattanites (often but not always Jewish) who assume that they are smarter and more intellectual than everyone else and that nothing in DC could possibly measure up to the NY equivalent. Please move back.

I loathe white Americans. A more disgusting, unworthy group of people has yet to exist. Every time I try to convince myself that this feeling is wrong, yet another shows their true colors. I have white "friends" solely because they can be useful, but I don't help them or invite them to my house or really think of them as friends.

I especially dislike the men, who seem to be culturally predisposed to promiscuity, street harassment, abandoning their children. Even the more educated ones have a host of antisocial behaviors. I just don't get it.

Wow, as a law abiding, straight laced, non substance using, kind. Empathetic, bright, highly educated, well married, grounded, mother, loyal, proper African American woman--this belief is such a stereotype from my view. My black Eagle Scout, responsible, educated, kind husband is nothing like you describe.

I really try to not generalize to entire populations of people. This kind of thinking makes me hesitant (stressed) to reach out to you when my kid is at the pool for swim team and other such environments. I had a friend once who stayed out loud to me "I've always wanted to have a black friend." Can you even imagine how this might feel?

My norm as well PP! Also true for my entire family as well as my husband's

There is always someone who will pop up and claim that their exception is the norm. The fact is that AA men are dismal on most of the measures of decent manhood. Most promiscuous (read the book "Is Marriage for White People?") most likely to cheat, lowest marriage rates, most likely to have out of wedlock children, highest STD rates, highest incarceration rates, most likely to abandon their children, highest unemployment rates and on and on. Some of it is racism -- I'll give you that re: the unemployment and incarceration stats. But choosing not to marry the mothers of their children, spreading their seed all over town and not taking care of the resulting children are the result of poor values. I am a white collar professional with a handful of AA male peers. Everyone is either single and childless or married with kids or divorced and in their kids lives EXCEPT the AA men. Guess what demographic is the only guy at this high level job who has a "baby mama"? Guess what demographic is the only guy who readily admits he plans to have kids without getting married because he is afraid of alimony? They just don't share the values that most of the world finds important.

It is not a matter of being black because Africans are really family oriented no matter how poor. There is just something about AA culture and denying that doesn't change anything.

Ignorance is bliss. I am this poster. What I posted is the norm. It's my norm. I'm not trying to prove anything to you. Simply stating the norm of myself and those I'm related too. I am not speaking for an entire race of people anymore than you or anyone else is here!

Males. If you're going to have a violence problem with someone, it's usually males.
