Be honest - is there a specific group in which you are prejudiced?

Those men are such hypocrites. Making their wives and daughters cover head to toe like that in 100 degree heat at six flags or in Hawaii while they wander in swim trunks. Guess in exerting their dominance, they forgot to read the holy book which requires men to be covered from the naval to below the knees; I suppose they could religiously get away w a tank top and some kind of Capri swim trunks but I'm sure those assholes you saw were wearing regular board shorts w no shirts and w no concern for whether the wife dehydrated.

Hawaii for me

I have seen it inside the beltway at differnt shpping places. Joann fabrics in seven cormers for one. Can't remember the other places but definitely a couple of times at fabric stores. The men with them appear african to me and not arabic.

Oh don't forget how it's ok to say they hate white people or white Americans

"They"?

Yes. 'They' as in people of any and all races who have used the terms 'white people' or 'white Americans' in this thread.

FWIW It makes me sad. I'm not racist at all. There are good and bad on both sides. And as long as people choose to only acknowledge the bad, we're never going to co-exist peacefully.

Indians and I'm even married to one!! The thing that is most off-putting about them for me is how openly materialistic and money-obsessed most of them seem to be, and so unashamed of it too. When ever I'm around Indians they mostly talk about money, Dubai, expensive cars, expensive holidays or who we know that is rich. They also don't find it rude to ask people very plainly if they are rich.

Another thing that I find strange, but not necessarily annoying is how submissive they can be around people in positions of power, yet so nasty to people less important than them. I think in school and workplace environments Indians are more prone than others to ganging up on and bullying the weaker people and then being scared of their superiors (whether it be a teacher in school, boss at work or more popular person). They talk to their bosses and teachers as if they are scared of them or as if they are slaves talking to their masters, even though that's not how the relationship is meant to be in western working or learning environments I find this just completely bizarre.

And the women sometimes give me dirty looks when I'm with my Indian husband.

"blacks"??

That tells me an awful lot about who you are.

Exactly. Any idiot who refers to "blacks" and "the blacks" has told on herself.

what would you prefer?

Black people.

I dread it when my car breaks down because as a single woman entering a mechanic's shop, I feel like the vultures just descend as I enter. W/HUGE dollar signs in their eyes.

I bought a used car for my first one, from a used car lot. I was 18, and showed up with my father, in 1995, on Long Island. I was a bit of a bitch, if I do say so myself. The guy, trying to talk me into a car, suggested, "You could put on some nice pin-striping, have your name written in pretty script on the sides..." and I snapped at him, "Oh please. I'm not Amy Fisher."

Cool story.

It did not help that she kept saying, "I do not know what happened."

Um, you went through a stop sign.

Classic.

"Upper class" Latinos - I'm Latina but not of this stock, and it's astounding the outright racism and classism I see in these people.

Fat shamers. Fuck off. (I'm thin, but I think it is so awful of people to judge others for their body shape and size.)

Pro-Israel people who ignore the plight of and violence experienced by the Palestinians.

People who are mean to homeless people, or have no empathy for the homeless.

Those aggressively cheerful people who kind of ignore what's actually going on around them. I'm all for happiness and kindness, but when it comes across as fake it's grating.

You don't sound happy or kind.

Georgetown undergrads -- rich, entitled, yet not all that bright or outstanding. At least at the ivys you find rich, entitled students who are incredibly bright; every time I've dealt with a Georgetown undergrad recently I've wondered -- is the school really that good and that hard to get into or is it just a big deal due to name brand in certain circles. Felt the same way about NYU undergrads when I lived in NYC, though Georgetown undergrads take the cake for being rich but dumb.

Georgetown is a better school than NYU.

Do your Indian children know how prejudiced you are towards them? And to expect those thoughts and prejudices throughout their life from people like you?

Are you thinking they won't get those prejudices because they're only half of that awful Indian genetics?

Sad that you are consciously or subconsciously instilling self hate into them.

I hate smokers. Ridiculous to still be smoking and taking smoke breaks in 2015.

Oh please. Sounds like she will teach them not to have the bad traits. My sister has somewhat redneck inlaws and she teaches her children that some of the words grandpa uses are not allowed. This mom will probably teach her kids that there are some things about the in-laws that you don't want to emulate, and why. That's just good parenting.

So, it should be Mexican people...or Chinese people...Canadian people? LMAO

'Black' isn't a race or nationality but rather a chosen designation by those within the group to get away from the past. Now you see AA alot so maybe your ''Black people'' is out of date.

BTW...the op should pay closer attention...I see way more hating on conservatives than liberals in this place.

Raving Dems. they sound like little children. And they pout so when someone does not agree with their point.
