I think it's a similar story for Catelynn as far as role models go. I watch her and Tyler interact and just can't believe how she sits there and takes his shit, or agrees with him (especially re: the weight. "Maybe try on that wedding dress, fatass? Cuz I'm not marrying you until you fit." "Yeah, good idea.") Then I think back to the moments on the first season, or on her 16&P episode, where April just screamed and cursed at Catelynn, calling her horrible names, and Catelynn just put her head down and didn't react. She's used to it, and doesn't seem to think she deserves any better.

I don't see the gay thing either.

Intellectually they are perfectly matched. I think Tyler is a little more flashy (leather jacket, flashy watch) and has a smidgen of a temper, all which is typical for a young man. Catelynn is simple but tries hard. They're both determined to be good parents to Nova. Catelynn and Theresa will gently nudge Tyler to understand that he gave Carly away and he has no rights in relation to her. I wish they would get going with college. I don't understand what two adults do all day with an infant. They should each be in school part time.

I always wondered what it was that happened in her childhood. It was obvious her parents were overcompensating for something by letting her behave and interact the way she does with them. Unfortunately it seems that only increased the damage that was done to her, she is not an emotionally stable person.

One thing that came out at the reunion was dad (Michael) was a cheater, which is why her parents split up.

Okay, IT'S BAAAAAAAAACK!

Farrah is just as terrible as ever.
Maci is still reaching out to Ryan, who is still a dick.
Caitlyn and Tyler are still simple, and still obsessed with Carly.
Amber is still with her Old Man Fiancee and being jerked around by Gary.

So in sum, not much has changed. But it's fun to see the kids grow!

Farrah is honestly the most awful person I've ever seen. She treats EVERYONE like shit, her mom, dad, producers, boyfriend, etc. She constantly has such a bitchy face on and acts like she's "all that". She let her daughter stand there hitting her again and again and didn't do a thing while she yelled at her mom who was going to be doing HER a favor by watching her kid for a month so she could "work" in London. This girl needs a rude awakening call.

You can really see how Farrah's behaviour is affecting Sophia now, so much of her behaviour is imitating her mother (hitting, rude comments, general brattiness)

Did Maci really do a tough mudder type race six weeks after giving birth?

Ryan needs help but I am not sure what for. He just seems very... Off. Maci seems like a great mom. Amber and Gary suck as parents. They involve their child in their problems and give her too many options. She shouldn't have the choice of when and how long she goes with a parent. Farrah is just a bitch. Catelynn and Tyler needs to part from their adopted daughter. It's just not working out.

I wonder if Ryan is depressed. It's not quite clear if he's still working. He may have neurological issues from his big car accident? It's sad that his parents seem to put up with him but really ENJOY Maci. I mean, they babysat her daughter that she had with a man other than their son! And where are Maci's parents? I remember back when she was actually 16 and pregnant she worked at her dad's company. Maybe they just don't want to be on camera and have public lives?

These girls are really gross. MTV is not doing them any favors. The poor kids born into this show will grow up seeing their lives ruined before their eyes.

I hope MTV is giving them money to strictly use for therapy.

I read somewhere that Maci said Ryan suffered from severe insomnia and/or some kind of sleep disorder (this was back during the earliest seasons, maybe even during 16&P), which is why he is constantly yawning. I agree that he seems very disengaged from life. I wonder if it actually is some kind of... something... or just his personality. I always wanted to like Ryan, but it's so hard. I love his parents, especially his dad!

I just wish Farrah would leave the show, or they would cut her. Her segments are not interesting, and she is by far the one who is most not living the typical "teen mom" life. I mean, none of them are, but the extras TM fame has brought is most glaring with her.
