Add Black Panther, Out Of Africa, and The Color Purple. I almost forgot about Parasite, totally horrible!

Agree with this.

Forrest Gump. What a terribly annoying, boring movie. I actually fell asleep in the theatre at one point. Cannot stand when people do their renditions of all the dumb quotes.

We’re you 5 when you watched it? Forrest Gump was amazing.

Not that PP but Forrest Gump would also be my choice as overrated. I was 27 when I first saw it.

Avatar and Love, Actually. Both awful.

Black Panther (good but not worthy of a cultural revolution). I mean, Denzel and Morgan have been doing the lead actor role in much more significant pictures for years.

Godfather. Yes it’s good but everyone acts like it’s the best movie ever made.

Breakfast Club is pretty bad (plot, acting, casting) Some movies just don’t hold up very well. Also disappointed in Kramer vs Kramer but I suppose it seemed revolutionary at the time.

Hustlers. 'Jennifer Lopez should have been nominated for an Oscar!'

Give me a break!

+2. I hated it when I first saw it and watched it again recently. Same reaction.

Forrest Gump, Fight Club and Good Will Hunting

Bridesmaids was my first thought. Really could have done without the poop scene.
La La Land, and I so wanted to love it.
Citizen Kane, at least I thought so 20 years ago when I finally saw it, maybe I should try again.

Forrest Gump is terrible, and the fact that it's considered an American classic is really all you need to know about Americans and their culture of mediocrity.
