Which "celebrities" have you met who look great/awful in person?

Recently saw Mike Tyson. Was getting into a double parked SUV on Judiciary Square. Looks exactly the same as he does on TV but surprisingly short for someone who was heavyweight boxing champ of the world like 5' 10" ish on a good day.

Had previously ran into him in the lobby of the Delano hotel in South Beach 10+ yrs ago.

For work, I met Evander Holyfield (ok- kinda empty)- John McEnroe- was so uptight and extremely unfriendly/unsociable- a real jerk (made him very unattractive).

I still sometimes see Carla Hall and she's so tall and very stunning. Jose Andres looks just like on TV. Katie from Eats Place looks really young in person. Like a teenager. Same with the owner of Three Little Pigs Caroline.

I've met Carla a couple of times. She is really is stunning! A real sweetheart, too.

Same here. It was many years ago, back before she was so well known. She was warm and funny -- definitely beautiful inside and out!

I love her! You are lucky. I can't think of many celebs I want to meet but she is one. I LOVE Wonder Woman!!

NP. I also saw her -- at the Bethesda Landmark cinema -- and couldn't place her until several hours later. (But Wonder Woman was a bit before my time.)

I saw her at a McCormick years ago. Agree very pretty in person.

I sat across from Lynda Carter and Robert Altman on a plane back in the early 90s (pre-kid days when I always flew first class as a frequent business traveler). It was around the height of Altman's legal troubles, and I could see them tensing up when it was clear I was recognizing him as well as her. But then they relaxed and became chatty when I noted how fond I was of his mother, Sophie Altman, who was quite a character as producer of "It's Academic," which I was lucky enough to play for several years. Yes, Carter is a striking beauty.

Totally agree with this one - I waited on her once and she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen - and I don't think I've seen another woman in person who was that gorgeous. She was so much better looking than everybody else that I always thought there should be another category for people like that.

Recognized John Waters getting on a plane and sitting in front of us. Looks like he does on screen. Was very quiet and read the whole trip.

I have posted twice before but the PP who posted about Iggy Pop reminded me of when I saw Lou Reed at a French restaurant on Mothers' Day about 12 years ago, give or take. Looked the same as on tv, and I was sort of shocked to see him there, so I stared.

He cut in front of my husband at a Starbucks. He was shorter than my hubby but he wasn't going to say anything!

Probably a good move. Shorter but could still bite off an ear.

He went to the kid jail near where I grew up and was a janitor at my high school. It was there that he met Bobby Stewart and learned to box.

I met Leonardo Decaprio at charity event
I was volunteering at. This was after Romio and
Juliet and right before titanic. He was hanging out
with some buddies. My friend asked if he could take
a picture of him and I. He very graciously obliged.
Seemed like a very down to earth guy (and super hot).

Ryan Gosling in a white t-shirt and jeans. Slim, tall, tanned and handsome. And friendly to boot.
