Vincent Cassel. I've never seen him in person, but that man is all kinds of hot. |
Please share details of how DAve Matthews one night stand came to be! Was this before he was famous? Was he single? |

Warren Beatty (like, 15 yrs ago tho) very handsome and was very friendly and nice to the old ladies who were there.
Rosalynn Carter in the late 70s/early 80s - polite, nice, looked younger than I expected but the limpest handshake ever. To be fair she probably shook hundreds of hands before mine. The Gores looked better than expected, also like 10 years ago, when they were still a couple. Ace Frehley of KISS - looked awful and verrry old. |

Richard Gere. (2011) Sat next to him for a (long, long) flight back from India. Didn't actually recognize him until the flight attendant mentioned it to me (i'm oblivious, and a frequent business traveller there). He was quiet, polite, signed autographs for the flight attendants (against the rules, they told me). Great hair, but definitely doesn't dress very well--very hippy-like. Probably coming back from Tibet/Bhutan, since it was a flight from India. Shorter than I would have expected, but that's common.
Arnold Schwarzenegger in the G-town mall, ca. 1996. Card store. He made some remark about the cards we were looking at--I looked over, responded, smiled, and we both moved on. Big (dug), but shorter than I expected. I'm 5'8" for reference. |
YES!!!! I couldn't remember his name & didn't feel like googling it
He is so freakin hot in person too! I always thought he looked ok on screen but couldn't believe how handsome he is in person. Plus, he was smiling at my daughter in her stroller, who was only 1 year at the time, he seemed like the approachable type. |

I met Valerie Harper back in the 80's. I was probably about 14. She was REALLY nice and took several pics with me. Me and my family lived in a homeless shelter at the time and she came down to speak and volunteer.
I am an adult now - almost 40 and I cried when I found out how she was terminal because I always remember how nice and gracious she was to me back then. |
I almost cried when I read this. So obviously you made it out of the homeless shelter situation. How is life for you now? |
Probably here's the thread that it was posted on. Kind of a fun topic while it lasted. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/232831.page#2383682 |
Yes, we did. We were in the shelter for about 6 months and then we moved to transitional housing and finally to a permanent residence. Once I graduated from a high school, I went into the Army and then to college so life has been great for me and my family since then. Thanks for asking! |
| As many have mentioned, back in the day, running into George Steph. at a Starbucks was as common as the sun rising in the east. The one thing that I found interesting - he kept starting at my boyfriend who was in line with me. Boyfriend was cute. But so was I, though he didn't even give me a quick glance. Always wondered whether maybe he was closeted or bi. |
Forgot to add, he looked exactly like he did in the pics. Quite handsome in my book. Would have done him if only he gave me the chance . . . |

Al Gore back in the 80's. I can't really disclose the situation but he was underfoot for a few weeks. He treated everyone as though they were his personal staff. He sticks out in my mind as being the biggest pompous jackass I've ever met.
Tipper was very nice and quite pretty in person. |
Yeah Bassein the cooch comment I don't trust your judgement |
