What mysteries would you like to see finally solved someday?

I saw the plane crash into the Pentagon.
It happened.
I was driving. It happened so fast. I still have PTSD and bad dreams where it is played over and over.
Go away you loon.

In 2001, not everyone had cell phones-let alone cell phones with video cameras in them. And even if they did, the hundreds of people sitting in traffic wouldn't be video taping the Pentagon that they drive past every single day.

Just what I was about to say. I guess a plane could crash into the Potomac but I wouldn't have video evidence if I just happened to be sitting in traffic on the GW Parkway at the same time.

Like I said, I don't doubt that it happened. No need to call names.

Ok so no commuters would take a photo/video, but no one in the whole approach area was filming anything? No other security cameras? Of one of our top military buildings? Again, I don't doubt that it happened. Just thought it was odd there weren't more photos/videos of the plane flying right before the crash.

Of course there's security camera footage of it. It's on YouTube. I believe they seized all security footage immediately afterwards but it was eventually released.
There's very few videos of the first plane hitting the towers too. There's more footage of the second plane and the collapse because it took longer to happen. It's hard to video something that happens in a split second.

What happened to Maura Murray?

Many of you may not have heard of her, but I've been sucked into the Podcast, watched an episode of Disappeared on tv, and it is a case with lots of holes and oddities.

In addition to many of the other mysteries posted previously, two from history have always really interested me:

1 - What really happened to Virginia Dare and the lost colony at Roanoke? I remember learning about this in grade school.

2 - What really happened to the family of Tsar Nicholas II - most notably the children....Anastasia. Did any of them survive being shot? If not, where did they bury the other bodies?

I thought these two were considered solved by most researchers.

did you read James Renner's book? I plan to.

He also wrote one about Amy Mihalevic. I grew up in the Cleveland area and was about her age when this happened. So freaky. I hope this is solved one day. Apparently, the cops just released some new evidence - a curtain they found near her body.

Just the one security camera that I know of - and it only caught a grainy frame or two of the plane from a bad angle.

Anyway, not a huge deal, but since someone brought it up I remembered how I thought it was very odd at the time.

DB Cooper! Did he die in the parachute jump? If so, what happened to his body and the money? Or did he survive and live the rest of his life as some quiet, anonymous person in a small town in Mexico?

Agree with flight 370.

And the bigger questions of the universe: what was there before the big bang? Is there other intelligent life out there? What happens inside a black hole?

Is there really any treasure on Oak Island? What's the real history of the place?

Anonymous wrote:How about that Lobbyist found dead in her garage at 6am drunk?
I know lots of people on here knew her or her husband or at least knew of her.
I don't know the details but that case stunk of a cover-up if I ever heard it.
I don't believe for a 2nd that she came home drunk and wrecked her car, she had a huge meeting that next morning, young kids, too many things to point to a cover-up.

She really was an alcoholic who didn't limit herself. That is pretty much it, no mystery.

+1

NP here, I am so sorry, PP. I have not heard the cockpit voice recorder, but I have heard the Arlington County emergency dispatch tapes. There was an ACFD engine company on a milk run in front of the Pentagon that initially reported the plane down. "We saw it go down" is part of it and it's really a frantic and heartbreaking thing to listen to.
