Are you or your child just not interested in cotillion? Or are you turned off by Mrs. Simpson's reputation?

Invitations just went out to Beauvoir kids. Any other schools get this?

My public school DC got an invitation two weeks ago.

15:19 and 17:25 -- you received invitations to CC or Mrs. Simpson's?

Interesting. The entire class, or do you think a "friend" recommended your DC?

Three weeks ago.

DC just got another invite last week. Just look at the list of parents on the invite and you can figure out why your DC (and probably everyone from the class) got invites. DC said "no way!"

17:25 here. CC. No idea whether it was the whole class, but probably, since the kids I have heard about would be a rather random sampling.

Is DC in a Bethesda elementary?

I'm a parent who's daughter received an invite to the adjunct program of CC. My 1st question was how did the organizaiton get her name and address. 2nd there was not enouch information i.e. e-mail address or phone #. 3rd the invite offered 3 activities time and date. I searched the internet for the adjunct name Capital City Socials which returned an unacceptable website for my daughter. I do have an address and I'm in the process of completing my ltr to the organizaiton. Thanks DC Urban Moms & Dads for this forum.

Can any public school family who has received an invitation, without seeking one, please post? Like PP, I'm wondering about this.

My daughter is a DCPS second grader and received an invitation. She was excited about it, and we accepted.

This thread makes me want to gag as badly as I did reading the thread regarding one poster wanting make sure they would have enough bucks to eventually marry their daughter off.
