Political Discussion
Why can't you just condemn this as a horrific terrorist attack on American soil that could have been so much worse? Why? Is it religion? |
| The attack is bad and wrong, and this country full of gun-nuts is a gunpowder keg waiting to blow. Is there some relationship between what happened, and current political events? Undoubtedly. Acknowledging that does not imply an endorsement of said attack in any way. |
I don't care about that. I care about America. Why is that hard to understand? I cared that there were Americans stuck in Gaza (including doctors) - we should have gotten everyone out ASAP. Many didn't want to leave due to their duty of medical care, but we should have forced an evacuation of all Americans earlier. I cared that there were American hostages post-Oct 7 and was pissed we weren't working harder to get them back with yellow ribbons here everywhere. I'm exhausted by the Middle East, to be honest. I only care about American interests. |
I have condemned it. I haven’t once wavered on it. |
To continue, I have condemned it. However, you made it about religion. You tried to distinguish between the “Islamic person’s response” to a terrorist attack on their community and the “Jewish person’s response” to a terrorist attack on their community. I pointed out the fallacy in that argument. And you pushed back against that. So I correctly pointed out that, actually, even despite the fact that the government did more than enough to provide them with retribution, they still resorted to seeking their own retribution that led directly to lost lives. I don’t want to argue this point further. For goodness sake, the leader of the country that slaughtered tens of thousands in response literally invokes Amalek at every turn in the road. Nobody is buying the farcical propaganda that it’s just the Muslims who are NOT people of peace any longer. |
Even if that's true, which i personally think is rather gross, but let's go with it. American lives are more important. That doesnt change the fact that actions we are taking in other countries is making Americans less safe. If you want to keep Americans safe, you should support stopping the killing abroad in our names. |
Stuff and nonsense. We gave this terrorist the privilege of living here and he tried to repay this by killing children. Your argument is “but he was made to do this”. Everyone has a choice. He was buddies with terrorists and should never have let in. Yes don’t argue the point further because you are morally compromised. |
Thank you. Finally I have some support. He had a choice. He should never have been here and we need to rid our country of ANYONE like this imo. Before its too late. |
Who is arguing that he should have been let it? Who is arguing that what he did was acceptable? Who is arguing against immigration policy return to ensure that we minimize the risks associated with extremists entering the country? This feels like speaking different foreign languages to one another at this point. The guy sucks. I condemned his actions. I surmised his motivation, though I qualified that process by stating that nothing justified what he did. That’s me. That’s where I have stood all along. I am comfortable with my position on that, and I make no apologies for refusing to jump into the hysteria bandwagon to pretend that the only extremists out there endangering us are Muslims. The evidence to the contrary (i.e., that extremists of all stripes, Jewish, Christian, and Muslim, are all deeply problematic concerns) is overwhelming. Moving beyond that, I responded to the frankly dishonest post suggesting that the “Jewish person” response to something like this would have been different than this Muslim person’s response. That Jewish people would not seek retribution through the loss of blood. I pointed out on several levels why that is a suggestion NOT supported by anything other than personal belief. Good lord, the hard-headedness never ceases to amaze me. |
Israeli kids don’t die as much as Arab kids. Only 1 kid died on 10/7 not hundreds. |
The claim that only one kid died on 10/7.is delusional and veering away from the topic that an Islamic extremist tried to kill not Israeli, not arab, but American children on our own soil. He and his terrorist brethren which I am sure there are a few who helped him build these ezplosives need to be deported. |
Why? Oh, I don’t know … maybe because Israel and the U.S. collaborated to effectuate the slaughter of dozens of innocent Palestinians for every one person killed on 10/7 … on their behalf? Maybe, just maybe, that’s why the gentle, oh-so-civilized and peaceful Amalek! savages didn’t have to get their hands dirty at the lone wolf level? Maybe? Although, to be fair, that didn’t stop many of them from trying to kill countless innocents in Gaza and the West Bank at the same time. Guess they missed the memo that Jewish people only make movies and conversation at times like these (plus the occasional crossing of “the line” to commit acts of violence and Amalek retribution - lots and lots of that, of course). GTFOH … |
Interesting comment. I don't recall any of the victim's families of 9/11 being set off and attacking Muslims because of Osama bin laden's actions. |
DP. You really need to stop. The only person to blame here is the Islamic extremist who tried to kill as many Jews as possible by ramming a car full of explosives into a synagogue. That’s it. Plenty of other threads to discuss the war itself. This one is about a terrorist. |
WUT???? Where are you getting your information? Hamas Central? |
