“Screeching politics” means highlighting things that make a certain kind of politics look bad.

Don’t bring up politics! (Nobody says this during terrorist attacks where the perpetrators are a different kind of politics)

People can bring up whatever they want and if you cared enough to have the courage to chime in you'd have the right to do so.

Right now I’m worried about my daughter who is sheltering in place.

I'll be shocked if this shooter doesn't have a significant mental health history that's been kept hush hush due to confidentiality laws. Mentally ill students are allowed to matriculate in colleges and universities while innocent victims have no clue who's in their classes and dorms.

I was listening to the scanner. There were several active shootings; however, they were nowhere near the area. Providence has several high crime areas and it's Saturday night.

Not on the college hill side where RISD and Brown are located. East Providence is nice. You can walk the street at 2am and it’s quiet. Lived on Benefit street. The mafia did not let crime cross the river. The junkies have their patch on the other side near the train station.
