Right now I’m worried about my daughter who is sheltering in place.

I’m worried for my goddaughter who is sheltering in place. But I’m also thinking about the insane politics that contribute to this situation and I am 100% sure that she and her friends are also thinking about that right now as they are worried for themselves and their friends. I don’t see how one can think about one thing and not the other, but I appreciate that might not be how you process trauma and I wish you and your daughter the best.

Maybe if this were the first school shooting ever. But unless you’re as dumb as a rock or have been living under one, you are going to think about how and why these god damned school shootings happen all the time in the good ol US of A, and why parents keep voting for Republican politicians who choose guns over life every single time.

I'd rather focus on supporting the Brown community right now. Perhaps we dont have to insult and attack each other right now, and show a bit of kindness and compassion for affected students/families/faculty. I am horrified and angry about senseless shooting, and fully support gun control, but I am exhausted from the unnecessary nastiness and name calling

BS. Unless your kid is at Brown, your “focus” on “supporting” the community consists of what helpful activity?! Many of us can in fact hold two thoughts in our head at once. We can read about Brown and text our friends with kids there, and we can also be angry once again at Republicans and their supporters who are all to willing to go through this again.

There's also just a lot of false alarms after something like this. I know when I looked at the Brown site earlier it mentioned that a report of a second incident was incorrect but that you should still be sheltering in place from the first incident. Situations like this breed chaos and confusion.

The point is that there is no way to tell where almost all 400M guns are. There is no way to control them if you can’t find them.

The point is that there is no way to tell where almost all 400M guns are. There is no way to control them if you can’t find them.

There is no way to tell where all the immigrants are but this admin is finding and controlling them by whatever disgusting means necessary. Democrats can use that as a guide to make firearms illegal and round them all up. There isn’t a constitution anymore anyway.
