I think Michigan's ED is going to bump its yield rate up from 46% last year, perhaps to the ballpark of 60%. This in turn might nudge the school up the ranking by at least a hair or make it a perennial t20 after cracking the list last year.

And that’s yet another data point showing that rankings are meaningless because nothing about the school will have changed.

I can’t believe there are 2 more weeks of waiting. Time seems to be flying… except when I think about this.

Same here! And I thought my DD was doing well really well not thinking about it too much, but then at 11:00 pm last night she came to me and said "I'm going crazy with waiting! I'm thinking about it all the time!" It's always at 11:00 pm that you hear the real story : ). I think it just got more intense now that other schools are starting to release decisions or decision dates.

Exactly! She had a friend QB match earlier this week and it seems like that triggered all of the kids to wonder and worry. Less than two weeks now, but who is counting? (Jk. Definitely counting.)

My UVA ED kid is not doing any more RD apps until she hears (no later than 12/15.) I don't think any kid needs to submit any RD apps before New Years and all the ED decisions will be out by then. The app is basically ready isn't it?

No, many schools have multiple supplemental essays and short answer questions beyond the common app.

Not always possible, plus the “why us” essay requires school specific info. My kid would prefer not to spend Xmas break doing RD apps, your kid can do what works for them.

What school? Schools don’t typically do likely letters for ED because the kid is already committed and does t need to be wooed.

UVA didn’t have any supplementals this year, right? Nothing for the PP’s kid to repurpose.
