Also on tha group which sucks because kid really does have to complete the vast majority of RD apps before then.

My UVA ED kid is not doing any more RD apps until she hears (no later than 12/15.) I don't think any kid needs to submit any RD apps before New Years and all the ED decisions will be out by then. The app is basically ready isn't it?

No, many schools have multiple supplemental essays and short answer questions beyond the common app.

So repurpose ones that are already done obviously.

UVA didn’t have any supplementals this year, right? Nothing for the PP’s kid to repurpose.

No Ed’s but she did 11 ea’s. Only heard back from 1 which was the least selective of the bunch. I thought we get a couple this week. Hopefully 3-4 come in next week…

Many EAs don’t come back to January and February.

Officially…yes. But may say “mid Dec” was hoping a few would give us post thanksgiving surpries. Oh well. The waiting is annoying.

Presumably they applied to other schools EA though! I know my UVA ED kid did.

SLAC just asked for additional financial info. Need blind school. We applied for FA. Good sign or nothing at all?

I think it's a promising sign. They wouldn't bother if you were out of contention.

Probably a troll. I don’t think anyone feels good about Yale unless they have some hook they didn’t list. Recent library donation or athletic recruit.

Anyway, waves of nervousness here, but the semester ends in two weeks so also feels like a sprint of academic and EC commitments. I guess the silver lining is that it’s keeping everyone distracted.

How is everyone doing this fine Monday evening? A lot of email checking going on in our house. DD is not enjoying the constant barrage of emails from RD schools and the complete radio silence for the past three weeks from her ED!

We told DD that we are proud of her whether it's a rejection or acceptance. It's certainly not an easy month as she has to maintain gpa, write supplementals, and her ecs. I wish the colleges would just email or text the results. A portal for checking results at a set time is way too formal. Nerve racking
