I am busying myself at work today by making a grid of everything kid needs to do for RD.

Hope this is a waste of time! I really don't want to figure out how this Glimpse video bs works.

This Michigan-based college counseling group posted it. The founder was a reader for UMich, so maybe they have connections or maybe the info was released to counselors?

I’m not the PP but guessing Middlebury. At least that’s why my fingers are crossed.

I wish there was a video feature so you could see my workplace right now. It would be like, (INT - air traffic control tower), camera focuses on middle aged woman creating a table in google doc looking up deadlines and peeking at DCUM, camera pulls out to reveal 45 people behind her, screaming. There's a fire on a runway in middle distance and a mid-air explosion.

ie, the situation is more ridiculous than you can imagine. and I'll end up at work late tonight because of this!

Good grief. You have the patience of a toddler. ED decisions come out super early as it is. I'm glad I don't live at your house. Are you the type who puts up Christmas decorations weeks before Thanksgiving?

Why do we have so many Karens in our society? This board is for parents to vent. Weirdo.

Use of the term “Karen” is very racist!

+1 And ageist. It's meant to denigrate older white women. Thank you for saying something.

It's meant to call out the actions of some older, white women who exhibit problematic behavior. It's an insult for those who behave badly in a similar way, it doesn't denigrate all older women or all white women. It's based on conduct (which a person can control), not race or gender.

Nice try, but false. It's an insult directed at only one race and one gender.

Liar. It’s used for all ages, genders, colors.

No it’s not. You’re the liar.

It is regularly used to describe the BEHAVIOR of people of various ages, colors, genders.

It’s not directed solely at old, annoying white women, as claimed by the PP.

Mostly athletes (which is the case for my kid) at more selective schools, also called "pre-read". Some schools have expanded to other students who might apply and, in some cases, also provide an expected FA package.

Sounds about right, I would think RD is a small pool.
