| do MAGAs even go to the KC? |
Not really - and that's their real problem now. Ticket sales have dropped precipitously and given a very large percentage of the creatives - musicians, artists, performers, actors, producers, directors etc are liberal they are having a problem booking acts. |
nope....too classy for them |
Thanks for the laugh, funniest post I've read tonight

Oh hey, they are hiring! Spouse works in marketing, I sent one of the job listings as a joke the other week. Probably going to have a difficult time filling these roles in DC? Maybe they should have thought that through.
Btw, job listings don't say Trumps name at this time.

DP more cancellations for NYE, so likely more lawsuits. Is there a gofundme already?

Interesting that the Heritage Foundation wanted to entirely eliminate federal funding for the Kennedy Center and Trump is doing the complete opposite. Where are the conservative fiscal hawks now.

And ironically it could have probably run without federal funding based on private donations and ticket sales but with Trump’s takeover taxpayers will have to keep the place afloat. Fiscal conservatives should be livid: you’re paying for a performing arts center in the DC swamp. |
I actually think this is their deliberate way of killing it, this is on purpose to put it out of business. Trump is just trolling with the marble options and name change knowing it will accelerate the demise. |
Nah. Trump doesn’t want to see something with his name on it fail. Maybe it’s the Heritage Foundation plan but Trump isn’t on on it and is requesting a massive increase in taxpayer funds to fix it up. |
Well they do have a bunch of job openings posted recently, mostly in marketing. Haha. Good luck marketing tix in the DMV. Not sure how many red state tourists they can recruit to buy tix while in town. |
| The only cultural institutions the Heritage Foundation wants are mega churches. Don’t believe in Christianity? well too bad you get nothing…. |
| who would have thought that artists would be opposed to authoritarianism |

Thank you to Chuck Redd, The Cookers, Doug Varone and Dancers, Rhiannon Giddens, and Kristy Lee for boycotting the Kennedy Center renaming and canceling their performances.
Nyt reports “The dance company’s leader called the decision “financially devastating but morally exhilarating.”” |
Loosahs, these are loosahs. And some very bad people, to be honest. We're going to have some of the top names, Some very big names. The biggest. |
