Little fan base, half of whom know nothing about the game and it’s just something for them to do. That partnership with VRSC and not even one player from that club, heck not even a local player from the DMV.

The team itself can finish middle of the table at best, if not just avoid last place. The team could be pretty good at defending and transitioning into a counter attack. Although defending today was atrocious. Your thoughts and observations?

It sounds strange since yesterday was game 1, but they need to get healthy. Missing their top 2 defenders, their best midfielder/scoring option and having your starting GKs loan recalled the night before you play is a ticket to mediocrity - at best. Didn’t help that they clearly suffered another major injury to one of the few returning players early in the match.

Dudes washed up but won’t retire cause how else is he going to eat? He also had a coach removed from VRSC to make up for his salary. Loudoun county in a nutshell

All he’s doing is flopping vs Richmond kickers tonight… what a disgrace! All his corner kicks go past the back post.

We had the best season in the club’s history last season. Now we’re off to a terrible start. Better bounce back quick.

Yup and their social can stop with the “not our night, back to work shit.” Losers and losing cultures say that, the team has been around for years now…

Hey for some reason they were favorites yesterday against the Kickers, won a nice bett off of them giving up that last minute goal. Thanks United

If anyone bets on Loudoun Utd you’re wasting your money. I put $50 on Richmond to win and risked it by parlaying it with a clean sheet leg. Made $512.50 last night. Wish I had put $100 down lol

You got 10-1 odds on an Loudoun FC game, don’t believe you

Losing to Birmingham, a team entering this game with only 2 goals scored in the first three games, in the first 15 mins lol how’s this organization still financially operating?

No fans no support there today. A terrible feeling.

Are they paying refs? Whistle dude completely invented a fake penalty for Loudoun to rescue a bloody point today against a direct rival… shameful

No fans? This is 2nd tier soccer in America. Even first tier soccer barely gets fans. I don’t see how any of these teams make money. It’s terrible to watch like watching a bunch of high school teams that you don’t know anything about. They should have free admission and just sell food and drinks.

Agreed with everything. Level is embarrassing. How are these entities viable financially? Is it a massive money laundering scheme?

Look, yeah, it's lower level US Soccer, but I think that Loudoun United isn't helping themselves with quite a few things. The team is fairly new so little history and was started as the 2nd team for DC United. That fizzled with the dissolution of the relationship between MLS and USL. The facility is around nothing else and is essentially an erect set portable stadium. And the team hasn't been good either. Kinda hard to sell fans on that, huh?

Drive to Richmond and go to a Kickers game, who had that affiliation with DCU before the Kickers dropped from USL-C to USL-1 and then Loudoun came along . They attract over 4k fans a game consistently. They have been around in various leagues since the early 90s and have a pretty good atmosphere overall, good choice of food and beverages and make it fun for families to go. IDK how much $$ the owners are pulling in, but they aren't operating the club as a charity. Kickers will sign younger local players as well to contracts, which creates some interest for the fans as well.

All that being said, I'll go to games with a pretty clear understanding of what I am watching and paying for - I know that I am not a Camp Nou or even watching Inter Miami and Messi.

How much does the new coach receive in financial compensation for his work?

6 games in - winless (one of 3 teams out of 25)

Knocked out of the cup by Richmond Kickers last week.

Chap’s a bit of a joke innit?!
