Because it’s a substandard venue. Pretty crappy. Was this funded by taxpayer? |
Likely a combination of LC taxpayer and leasee dollars. There are plans being built that would upgrade the facility in a substantial way, making it better for soccer matches and allowing it to be used as a multi-purpose venue for non-soccer-related events. |
| That’s good news. We could use some decent food and bands there. |
| We need semi pro woman’s team now also. |
Another one? You have Washington Spirit - NWSL (tier 1) You have DC Power - USL (tier 2) Please no more garbage. We have enough. |
| Somebody wants to silence our revolution. |
USL-W team? Drive up to Annapolis and watch the Blues. |
Lol? Where’s the cheater? Scrubbed from the Loudoun United website. Who’s the new GM? Haven’t seen that announcement tho |
| Probably still an owner and going underground to the public after such a PR disaster. Has been seen at his girlfriends sporting events. |
|
Saw there was a football game at Segra last night. Nice to see the stadium being used more but couldn’t tell if it was HS or youth.
Would love to have Loudoun schools use it like a “Game of the Week” venue and not having it see dormant or be wasted on the VRSC u-Littles all practicing on it. |
Great idea. I also hope the venue sees some upgrades and is put to better use for the community surrounding it. |
| The Loudoun taxpayers were really fleeced with this facility and nobody has ever been held accountable |
Why are we paying for that if it’s a private venue? Can someone be sued for it? I have money to blow and a bag of attorneys ready to go |
| Good luck suing the county. The actual terms of the agreements are kept under wraps. |
I would be more worried about where the tax revenue is going from those data centers. I don’t see any benefits that the county is getting. |
