I have identical twins and one qualified as a semifinalist and the other did not based on 1 question! They would have both qualified had we lived in just about any other state!!

The non-qualifying kid is so upset and thinks everyone is talking about them at school. I told them that this is small beans - no one is going to care about this a year from now. Honestly, they won't even be caring about this over the holidays, when ED and EA decisions are released.

This happened to my twins last year too. It was the first of many painful inequalities in their college process. ☹️

Between 20 and 25 percent.

It’s close to 115 kids. A lot more than the 80ish kids from last year. Still shy of the 165 kids the prior year when the cutoff was only 219.

At my kid's school (not dmv), 14 kids got the NMSF letter today with a graduating class of nearly 1,000.
