I don't see the state bracket on MaxPreps published for 2026. Based on the patterns over the last several years, I would predict Regions A&B in the first semi and C&D in the second semi. 2025 was A/D and B/C. 2024 was A/C and B/D. 2023 was A/B and C/D.

Those matchups are assuming the #1 seed from each region advance out the first round...which of course doesn't always happen since D2 played B1 in the 2025 semis. Leading to a D1 v D2 final.

Well Woodson was 8-12 last year, seems like they should be #2.

Didn’t Woodson have at least 1 injury that they will be getting back this year? They have some strong offense. A good sophomore attacker and some good middies.

No idea how many injuries Woodson had last year. Woodson's results last year were all over the place. Patriot last year was really a weak district. Woodson and WestPo both got crushed in quarterfinals at states (0-15 & 2-22). Can't say #2 in the Patriot is too high because it wouldn't take much to beat most of the district teams. Hoping the Patriot District turns things around.

Battlefield district losing Freedom SR and gaining Independence. Is it a wash or gain?
Too bad Lightridge didn’t come over.

Feels like it’s Robinson and everyone else. West Po lost the goalie that kept them in every game and frankly won them a handful a games alone. And lost their HC. Woodson lost decent amount of seniors and a few that were decent contributors. They will have to lean on a few girls heavily. Agree I think West Springfield has a decent chance to slide into #2 spot. Fairfax absolutely could be a dark horse

Battlefield played Independence last year. If Independence would have had their best player playing it would have been a much closer game. She was a senior. Battlefield crushed them last year and I predict the same will happen this year, barring any injuries to Battlefield

Wouldn’t have mattered if she played or not. Indy would have still gotten crushed

Any players to look out for this season?

I would guess nearly every Battlefield starter, especially their goalie. They are going to crush everyone.
