WTF are you going on about? This is about the RWNJs dictating what will be taught, who will teach it, what can not be taught and who can attend Harvard. This is Mao Tse-tung thought police and you are Trumps Red Guard.

Wow. So, this is how democracy does in darkness. Criticism of only one party is allowed. Proof that goose steppers also vote blue and wear blue.

Most people that typically support Democrats will admit that nominating Biden in 2020 was a mistake because his unfitness wound up making it possible for an even bigger mistake to win a second POTUS term in 2024. Being honest with yourself by admitting mistakes is a sign of intelligence that leads to not repeating mistakes. Very few people who mistakenly supported Trump have admitted to their mistake and most of them have repeated that mistake.

What does all this mean? The average Dem is a few notches up the IQ ladder from the average Republican.

Agree that admitting mistakes is a sign of intelligence. Comparing one party to another is ridiculous. Side A being slightly less ((bad characteristic)) than side B on an issue doesn’t mean that side Ą is good. What the PP upthread failed to understand is that some do-good policies at Harvard lead to discriminatory behaviors. They cannot see that because they see that is somehow exempts them from criticism and feel the need to shut down such comments. THAT is also totalitarian behavior. Free speech is only free if it supports the correct side (or the side in office).

Please tell us which "side" is "correct". All we've had to witness in recent years is a bunch of pathetic losers losing to another group of pathetic losers.

The side that doesn't discriminate based on race

Nice try but that factor eliminates both "sides" from the realm of righteousness.

And so it should. A pox on both their houses. But they discriminate against different groups so it yield different results.

Republicans are nativist, white supremacists, racist against urm, and anti intellectual.

Democrats are elitist, white supremacist, racist against Asians, bigoted against pre and working class whites, and anti merit.

There are no good options just the least of two evils.

This is bullsh*t. Dems are not racist against Asians and do believe in merit. We just believe that everyone should at least get a chance to compete. The Republicans have shown over and over again that they do not believe in merit. Look at Trump's cabinet.

I can personally attest to the fact that dems are anti Asians since I have personally experienced discrimination as an Asian in the US due to racist policies of Dems and their willing conspirators.

Dems are not anti-Asian. Plenty of minorities have experienced discrimination in the U.S. as it’s baked into the fabric of the country. Something Dems actively try to rectify.

Asians claim Harvard chose people of other races over them even though the Asians had superior credentials. Even if this were true, which it isn't, Harvard being a "racist" institution doesn't correlate to Dems being racist. Harvard is Harvard. Dems are Dems.

There is more too it. All the ivies were doing the same thing. When they were confronted with it, many ivies dropped standardized testing and went to a portfolio plan, until they realized the students were much worse. A portfolio is much easier to cheat, coincidentally that is what they do in China. Interestingly not using standardized testing is an issue not only for Asians but also many people from rural communities without name brand schools. They need the tests to compare a student from rural Arkansas to Wooten.

So, yeah it is kind of a Democrat thing not just a Harvard thing. Even more than they don't like Asians they don't want to send little Alice to school where they have rural hillbillies with awesome test scores. They want to send her to schools to meet that rich Bachelor.

I am sorry you have experienced this. We have to do better as a country. No one should experience this. Hope you have better days ahead.

No. Asians are natural capitalists and they aren’t a natural client group for Democrats. If we want an enlightened liberal elite running this country and we want to say never again to movements like MAGA, Harvard is right to discriminate against Asians just like they discriminate against Christians, 4H Club members, people from red counties in red states, etc.

Some Asians were under the impression that only grades and test scores mattered and not the school trying to build an interesting overall class. Meanwhile they sucked up the nepotism of Legacy admissions.

So your answer to your made up conspiracy is to send in the jack booted thugs from the government. Now the government will make sure Israel is safe from criticism and impose an ideology test.

Harvard gets a sh*t ton from tuition and donations in the name of X, Y or Z.

They don't need money! So why should they care?

Love everyone the same no matter what they look like or how they may or may not worship and strive to give all equal opportunity.

It seems like it’s all fine. The feds have always attached strings to their grants. Harvard was more aligned with the previous strings attached, so they didn’t mind. Now they are less inclined to comply, so they lose the grants. No big whoop. Everybody wins. Harvard does what it wants, taxpayers save some money, Harvard dumps a few of its unnecessary administrators, whose ranks have multiplied 10-fold in recent decades while the number of students and professors remained

That’s not how Harvard does it. Acceptance rates are wildly different depending on how favored or disfavored your group is.

I wonder what all their H-1b's are going to do without that research money.

https://h1bgrader.com/h1b-sponsors/harvard-university-6g064pyq2q#employer-salaries

Wow, Harvard doesn't pay much for world class research. Median wage ranges from 54K in 2016 to 79K in 2025.

H1B Salaries
Year Maximum Median Average Minimum
2025 $391,400 $79,541 $92,575 $56,000
2024 $559,520 $76,000 $96,421 $45,718
2023 $337,000 $70,990 $89,223 $51,000
2022 $432,640 $67,500 $88,092 $52,000
2021 $549,120 $65,000 $80,453 $47,268
2020 $328,500 $65,000 $82,921 $47,476
2019 $495,040 $61,308 $83,436 $45,000
2018 $312,625 $58,500 $79,618 $44,221
2017 $535,910 $55,296 $70,822 $41,364
2016 $334,880 $54,706 $68,448 $40,768

More and more it does look like Harvard just wants an under paid Asian research plantation.
