The long term stability of Chinatown is kinda important. It sucks for us but that's the downside of living in a multi-jurisdictional area. That being said, a large part of that expenditure should be held back in order to force the NBA owner billionaires to lobby on our behalf to their caged monkeys in Congress. It's fine that you think we should have gifted this to Ted, but that doesn't make it less of a gift. The break even point is north of 200 years even with optimistic assumptions. Its just very on brand for Bowser and the council to give away city money and then threaten schools and police. |
