| We can debate the pros and cons of IB but at the end of the day (1) it is in 8 schools and AP is in 17 schools; (2) FCPS is considering major boundary changes; (3) it is easier to transition to AP than to IB: and (4) it will cost less and be more efficient to have AP across the county. We don't really need IB in FCPS but, if there is to be an IB school, there should just be one IB school where every student commits to pursue the full IB diploma. |
