Convince that there are young men who believe in women’s rights

She does not want to have to stroke your fragile ego or your limp noodle. She will carry on and hopefully find a man secure enough to support her rights.

I am trying to convince her that there are supportive kind men out there (including her own father). Can you share examples of young men fighting for women’s rights?

Yes. They are in the US military and are either fighting for or willing to fight for the rights of women as well as men. However, your daughter is not worthy of them.

What? Whoa. Did you actually just say that?

Yes, they did. And it’s repugnant for people like OP to post something like “Do men respect women anymore” when there are young Trump voting veterans out there who literally killed Islamofascists who do stuff like making it illegal for girls to be taught how to read.

Shame on you!

It does not sound like she into you either. Not that is anything wrong with that.

Ya’ll sure do think you know everything about her parenting and everything about the daughter. Hilarious. The girl is 25 - totally normal to feel disenchanted with the dating pool. All you PPs vilifying them are only proving daughter right! Btw, daughter will be fine. There are good men out there who see women as equal. (But not many on this thread)

The premise of the original post is the opposite of your last two sentences. I think you can't read. The OP demonstrates mental illness, which has now passed down a generation. It really is a sad state of affairs that a human being could take an election result to such an extreme. If a person is mentally capable of what the OP originally stated, they have serious problems.

Nonsense. She is getting a dose of what it is like to go backwards and that is a bitter pill. She will find someone.

Not necessarily. But that doesn’t sound like a bad thing either.

There are tons of great guys out there. Your daughter is stereotyping men. However, she won’t find great guys online. She needs to meet people in person then date, like we used to before dating apps. Dating apps are the worst way to meet people.

Why would anyone want to date someone who doesn’t share their values? Who is she a baby or not ready for a relationship? You people are strange - or old wives who have been mistreated for so long you think it’s normal.

But that's not what OP's daughter was sharing. Yes, of course everyone should be with someone who shares similar values, but also in a relationship that respects one another's views and opinions that will definitely at some point not fully align.

What's wrong with OP's daughter is her over the top dramatic blanket statements about all men...that she "lost her faith in men" and that "there are no men worth dating". That she's "scared for her future and wants nothing to do with men."

It's a blanket statement against all men. Ridiculous.

Lol. Kinda. But reading through this thread, she has her work cut out for her. She should certainly avoid the arrogant blow hards posting most of the obnoxious answers in this thread.

Good luck honey...you are going to need it based on this thread!

Yes, OPs daughter is going to need luck. OP has managed to cripple her in a way that prevents her from ever attaining a normal, balanced, and meaningful existence. That’s the crime here-the parenting that manages to result in what OP described originally.

Hardly, drama queen. She's 26. She's getting a reality dose of how backwards this country can be, like we all do, and she will adjust. there are plenty of progressive men out there and she will find one.

She can’t find one to date her now, in her prime. She will need a lot of luck.

When was it implied I want her to be into me? Why does the left make up their own fiction?

I said if she is concerned about women’s right to choose and she’s detaching herself from men, then the problem solves itself

It was sarcasm.

Anyway. She is concerned about her rights. She is interested in pro choice men. That is not a problem.

So much misogyny in this thread. Calling OP and her daughter “mentally ill” for wanting to find a man who shares her values. Calling men who share her values “beta”. Wow. Now I’m losing faith!

We will never win until we open women’s eyes to the fact that our culture bakes self-hatred into women. Read The Seven Deadly Sins: The Price Women Pay To Be Good by Elise Loehnen to consider why you’d make such a baseless, misogynistic statement.
