BOYS 2026 DMV Commitments BOYS

There are 26’s from New England prep schools who have barely seen the field in a high school game, who are already committed to top D1 programs. If they’re good enough and play for a decent club team, they’ll get noticed.

You mean the 20 year olds who will pay full tuition to fill out the benches.

I've chatted with some current SJC parents in both the 28 and 27 classes. While some parents are fully bought in on Speaks vision and year-round commitment to lacrosse, not everyone subscribes to that philosophy.

I do foresee some 28s and 27s transferring out - and some of them are pretty good.

but some are not; I can't imagine what their families were thinking going to a school where they have no prayer of getting to play.

and, too late for them to do anything now, but there are 2025's and 2026's who were great youth players and could have been good HS players, but then have faded away from lacrosse because the roster was too big and too good for them to break in.

Fake news. Smallest program outside of Bullis that is good.

Smaller than PVI? - no JV last year
Smaller than EP? - couldn't field a jv and varsity for the iac tourney
Smaller than Heights? - multiple freshman starters on varsity

I will agree it's not a huge program but I'm not sure having 10 floaters from varsity to jv is good or not. Is it in the best interests of the family, the player or who? SJC is certainly winning the recruiting battle in the WCAC but don't sleep on GC.

I know Speaks is bringing in at least two mid year transfers. Current players and parents know he does this often!
