Next Level 2026
1 Princeton (Georgetown Prep) Attack
1 Navy (Landon) Attack/Mid Midfield
1 Navy (St John) Defender Midfield
2 Michigan (Lawrenceville/Deerfield) Mid/Attack, Midfield
1 Brown

IAC:
GP - Princeton (A), Army (FOGO)
Landon - Navy (A/M), MI (FOGO)
Bullis - Navy (M)

WCAC:
SJC - Navy (D), Penn State (G), GU (LSM), SU (D), Lehigh (LSM/D), Towson (A)
PVI - HP (A), BU (M)
GC - MD (M), Yale (A)

What do each of these teams have left that will end up at D1?

GP: 2 possibly 3
Landon: 4 possibly 5
Bullis: 1
GZ: 1 or 2
SJC: 2 maybe 3
GC: 1

Still some good players left at these schools. SJC obviously had the higher end players in numbers. Makes sense because that 2026 class has been contributing since freshman year.

27's at SJC made a really good decision in choosing this over schools like GZ or PVI.

My count is pretty similar to this. Might be one too many at Landon and Prep but otherwise agree.

I think Landon will get 1 late one. I believe they have 4 holding offers right now that have not committed

Landon, GP and Bullis have 2 players remaining who might get an offer to a school they might not otherwise get into. Any other players could probably go to those schools through the regular admission process.

We should probably wait to ask them if they enjoyed sitting the bench until senior year.

SJC 2026 class is clearly the best in the area.

I too am surprised with how little Gonzaga has left in the cupboard.

Eagles don't have the depth that they used to and it showed on the field last spring.

Do you mean in the WCAC Champ game or some other one?

The things is that SJC 27 and 28 classes are also pretty strong. Hardest jobs Speaks is going to have is getting these kids enough playing time not to bail. There should be a lot of blow-outs to work in the better 27s and maybe the top couple 28s.

I've chatted with some current SJC parents in both the 28 and 27 classes. While some parents are fully bought in on Speaks vision and year-round commitment to lacrosse, not everyone subscribes to that philosophy.

I do foresee some 28s and 27s transferring out - and some of them are pretty good.

SJC, you have a great team and program, but I think you might need to pipe down a bit now that you're no longer defending champs.

Great post. Early playing opportunity should always be a big consideration. 27 GZ kids will be playing in important games while 27 SJC are watching or doing the “swing player” JV stint and playing in meaningless bottom tier WCAC games.

Only 4 27's will get meaningful time as seniors. The rest will be passed over for 28's or even 29's. That's what Speaks does. He builds for a big class every 3 years.

but some are not; I can't imagine what their families were thinking going to a school where they have no prayer of getting to play.

and, too late for them to do anything now, but there are 2025's and 2026's who were great youth players and could have been good HS players, but then have faded away from lacrosse because the roster was too big and too good for them to break in.
