I'm not. I'm saying I won't do it. Jaysus. So many jerks when we all just want the best for our kids. |

To me basically the above proves that DC has like 1/10 of metro DC's population, esp. in re public school student population. |
But it has about half the number of students as MoCo. White parents have, in the past, not sent their kids to DC public schools at the high school level. They are starting to. These increasing numbers at the high school level have been driving DC school growth for the last five years or so. |
there's definitely more DCPS high schools that white parents are choosing. It's not nothing that Macarthur, McKinley, Banneker, and the DCI, BASIS etc. charter high schools are growing into "schools of choice" so it's not just "Wilson or bust" as people thought in the past, instead there's a flexibility that can permit some of the policy deformation of the past to cool off. For example, we don't need a Wilson with a catchment area that extends past the Capitol but people used to freak out if that wasn't retained in the past. |
Unfortunately Dunbar is failing miserably at uplifting and educating black students |
Are there really 21 white kids at Eastern? I know that there are a max of 3 white kids between the freshman and sophomore classes this year. |
That's what the chart at OSSE says for 2023-2024, but it also says that the number of students with two or more races is 9, and that doesn't sound right. So maybe they mixed up the numbers? |
This is the link for the enrollment audit data:
https://osse.dc.gov/enrollment It doesn't have anything for this year up yet, but hopefully soon. |
Glad to hear that |
Any idea whether it usually posts before lottery rankings are due mid march? Comparing last years to the year before it looks like there are trends at Baneker McKinley and MacArthur (assuming with Hardy kids coming). Though Baneker might be because they took a larger class that year. |
My kid is at McKinley and solely from watching kids at drop off, I can tell you that the numbers have grown. My son has one class that's almost all white kids. |
Yes, you are. Stop lying. “Please do the excel work and post, Ms. ‘easily found’ as I am sure we would all appreciate it.” |
I am the OP and I did not post that. |
True. Also it surprises me that some of the MoCo schools are that segregated. |
