Uh, seems like Trump's visit to the NABJ is not going well...

Are his handlers going to let him debate after that debacle? Would they risk him on stage with Harris?

Pissing off Black voters is the last thing he should be doing right now. Starting to think his advisers are Dem plants. How did he even end up at this event?

The bottom rung right wing grifters get their marching orders and immediately spam the same phrases.

Code-switching is never offensive. It's polite. As a mixed-race person, I can attest to that. When I return to my Asian country, I do not bring the mannerisms of my European country. That would be seen as uncouth. And the reverse would surprise my European relatives!

You don't even realize how IGNORANT and DUMB you are.

Total loser.

Yes.

“I think somebody should look into that.”

What a line. He’s so inadvertently hilarious.

I don't think it's working because the interviewer isn't there to clean up his messes for him. Like, most Americans know that people died at the insurrection, since Fox News tried to pin those deaths on Biden. Without a sympathetic interviewer to gently remind/correct/hand him the talking points, he just sounds crazy.

I mean most people have heard the oft repeated claims about the “deadly insurrection”. But 3/5 deaths were from natural causes. One was a drug overdose, and the other was an unarmed protester/rioter.

The police suicides.. I can see how stress is a contributing factor but I really don’t think it’s intellectually honest to try and tie them directly to Jan sixth.

Just like how there’s always mental health warnings on media that includes talking about suicide, and just like how schools generally try quietly acknowledge a student who took their own life—because it’s documented that there can be a social contagion aspect. For instance in San Antonio in 2022 5 officers also died of suicide within a span of seven months. It’s sad and i’m not trying to downplay that.

I just think most people who are willing to think critically and do research understand that there’s been a large politicization and somewhat dishonest framing of how “deadly” the capital riot actually was.

Vice President Harris on Wednesday night responded directly to former president Donald Trump’s escalation of his attacks on her racial identity, calling it “the same old show” of “divisiveness and disrespect.”
“Let me just say: The American people deserve better. The American people deserve better,” Harris said at a historically Black sorority event in Houston, hours after Trump questioned her Black identity in a discussion with Black journalists.
She was met with roaring cheers and applause from the crowd.
“The American people deserve a leader who tells the truth. A leader who does not respond with hostility… when confronted with the facts,” she added.

What’s intellectually dishonest is to downplay the attack at the Capitol and try to make a martyr of a rioter who was forcibly breaking into a chamber of Congress.

For the last time. Multi-ethnic people code switch. For instance, one of my nephews is Chinese/South Asian (ethnically). When he is with his Chinese grandparents who live in the US, he speaks Mandarin. When he is with the South Asian family, he speaks Hindi. When he's with his friends, he speaks English.

Normal people try to find common ground with the people that surround them. Weirdos OTOH, might decide that code switching is damn offensive.

FU. There were officers who lost eyes and fingers. How would YOU feel if you got caught up in a crowd that made you lose an eye or a finger? Seriously, please answer that question. Would you just shrug and say oh well, at least no one died? You'd be mad as hell. You're dishonest if you say you wouldn't be. Losing a part of a body is forever.

And the officer who died of a stroke - no way that was not induced by the riot. And please. If there's a rash of suicides after a traumatic, violent event (have YOU ever been in a situation where there were hundreds of marauders smashing and breaking things around you and you feared for your life?) you can absolutely tie those to that violent event.

You sound like one of those mealy-mouthed Mike Johnson/Mike Pence types, pretending to be oh so rational and calm and yet you are peddling dangerous nonsense.

NP. It’s clear that you don’t understand that America is a multicultural nation. How easy for you that you are just white.

People died during an insurrection in Modern Day America. If that’s not a problem for you, I don’t really know what to say.

Yes, I don't respond to these posters anymore. This is not their life and they also lack empathy and imagination. You are never going to reach them. Waste of time.
