+1 It was a major disappointment. The worst Opening Ceremony I remember.

Do you think the internet has made everyone hypercritical? Like you used to say this stuff to your family on the couch, but now you can anonymously pass judgement in public on multimillion dollar productions.

I am the one who posted about Snoop's misogyny and I don't think he should be there but why are you pretending he is not a clear speaker?

You should be offended by host of Peyton manning! He diverted millions of welfare funds to his daughter’s college gymnasium and is suing the journalist who exposed it for defamation! I can’t believe they picked him!

I think it was probably even less cohesive in person. It was very much made for TV with the way it was set up geographically. If you think that the live audience could only see the patch of whatever right in front of them, most of what they were seeing was on monitors.

That was not supposed to be Jeanne d’Arc. That was a man.

I liked it. Yes the horse could have been shorter and I think we missed some stuff so we could see the American athletes but overall I thought using the river that way was genius

That was disappointing, to say the least. Paris is one of the world’s most storied cities with loads of beautiful art and architecture. I was looking forward to a dazzling spectacle, since the last few host countries have done a terrific opener and surely the culture capital of the world would put on a show to remember! Well, I’ll remember it alright, but not in a good way. The idea to parade the athletes down the Seine in boats was neat but the rest of the show was a bizarre and tacky mess of uninspiring dance routines and sacreligious imagery. So lame.

I loved it. I thought it was amazing.

The TV production worked around the rain well. That must have complicated everything (like the electronics !).

It’s so cool y’all

Snoop was there and carrying the torch because it looked like a blunt.

He will also be a commentator with Martha Stewart for a few days.

I do not understand why anyone cares about Snoop.
