Wizards and Caps could be moving to Potomac Yard

Fake Redskins are stuck where they are and I say good that the Caps and Fake Bullets are leaving. DC’s crap government deserves it as do the morons who elected them.

WaPo reporting a Monument - Youngkin announcement at the site tomorrow morning.

Bowser had to make a token effort tonight but it's only 1/2 as much money. Seems like a done deal. One that has been in the works for months, while the DC government did, well what, exactly? The Council does not even go IN to the Wilson Bldg much of the time and Trayon participates in hearings while driving. Bowser couldn't do NOTHING, but, this ain't it.

If Leonsis will still own the building, no co-housing or homeless shelter for the DSA to revel in planning. Just more grime, blatant drug use and most importantly, LESS REVENUE.

Too little, too late. The tents are up for the announcement in VA.

More performative platitudes from Bowser.

That’s her thing.

What have they been doing for MONTHS while this deal was in the works? After that March 2023 press conference they should have been working hard to make Chinatown a place Leonsis wanted to stay. Literally, WHAT have they been doing?

The open air drug market has been back in Chinatown for a while. Will the red light district be next. City is reversing 20 years of progress. How low can we go?

Now the rest are chiming in, months late and $500 Million short

Council chairman Mendelson was interested in engaging with Monument on renovating the arena but Bowser’s priority was luring the Commandskins back to D.C. She likely will wind up with nuthin’ now

It’s starting to feel a lot like Barry Time again in D.C.

Streetwalkers have been back in Logan for a while now.

I've seen dealers weighing up crack on scales at the top of the arch escalator, on the flat part, in broad daylight. That's pretty low. Crack is Wack! And so 80s. Have also seen it smoked on the red line heading to Bethesda. That's lower.

The FBI has to be happy with their decision tonight.

It really is a shame. I think the peak may have been under Fenty, the whole city and DCPS seemed to be on an upswing. Sure slipped back quick.

The city is going to be REALLY pressed for revenue, not sure many on the Council even lived here to remember the 90s. Frumin, Pinto, Nadeau and Allen were not here for sure, Vince Gray remembers. Mendo is a clown, time for him to go too.

Very timely, hours after it was all over Twitter. The Post really isn't tuned into the local teams anymore.

NOW they are willing to increase security around the arena? There was a whole press conference by Leonsis about it a full NINE MONTHS AGO. WTH?!! What, we were all just collateral damage in the meantime, including all the broken into cars?

Looks like the H street/china town/ gallery place area is going to fall into a black hole dump like it was pre the capital one arena being built. Someone remind me, what was in that space before?

Maybe she should have stayed home rather than going to Dubai. Better 2 teams in town than whatever nebulous benefit that was.
