Again, with all due respect to the good lacrosse players that will find a home somewhere, there are not 12 Capital-level players on Stars. Or Pride. Some from each plus others, including ones currently playing for MD teams will comprise CLC Blue.

Yes to this. The best chance at a competitive team is a make up of 6, max from stars, 8-10 from Pride and 5 from MD teams or Richmond or random unknown.

I agree with this statement. And if this happens, these girls will compete very well

Agree with this. But also not worried about it in December! Let's discuss in June.

Also, if you don’t have an older kid that has been through all of this, you don’t realize that the Maryland teams are maxed out. They don’t get any better. Where as everyone else starts to catch up to the Maryland clubs

Also, so worrying about rankings. Colleges are going to come and watch Capital because they know that they put out some great athletes

And I could care less about which team puts more girls on the blue team. I just want the blues team to be top notch and the Orange team coming in close behind

To be honest, there is not much to discuss right now so that is why we are talking about it. Dearth of topics.

Maryland boards are claiming that M&D changed the brackets at Indoor Nationals to guarantee that 2 M&D teams make the playoff bracket (M&D Black and either M&D Red or M&D Orlando Black).

Worth noting that Stars and CC Lax get a vote on the second part of that. Let's go Stars! Have handled M&D Red this Fall, and played CC Lax close. M&D Orlando Black is beatable.

Stars should easily win their bracket

Is Pride playing at Spooky Nook?

Agree. Stars should dominate their bracket.

If Stars takes their 12 Capital-bound players, they will likely make a run at the championship. Right?

I do not agree with this. The Capital Blue 2028 team will be competitive regardless of whether any MD players decide to jump ship. It might be more competitive if one or two of the better players were to leave but I am tired of the idea that local talent cannot compete with these girls.

Agreed. Some of the MD players would be beneficial, but not all are necessary.

They are only taking their best 12, so that is probably in the cards.

Do not understand this. Oh well. Go Stars!

Having watched the MD teams the best players are NOT from the DMV. So stay put as far as I am concerned.

Typically, they can. But at this grad year several local girls left early on depleting the local capital pool. Hero’s alone has 5 and is top 3 in the country. If you don’t think having those girls back at Capital next year would be a benefit, you are delusional or you just want your daughter to make the team instead.
