This way, it would be better to know what they do and say without respecting the rest of people who use the bus. There are small children who have to listen to curse words and bad words, not only from this school but from all the schools that use the same bus. Andremembethatexcessive use

What are you even trying to say?

Who cares. What about MacArthur's academics. Exceeds expectations? Particularly interested in the situation with the most advanced math.

+1 to PP's question. What is the most advanced math being taught at Mac this year? Precalculus? How are the kids in the class faring?

MacArthur has this information on their website.

The city needs to put busses for students only .Because metro bus drivers don't do anything to put order in buses.

Ok- MacArthur is nearing the end of the Fall term. If you have a student there, what are the positive aspects, what are the areas that they need to grow in and what are you hopeful about for next year? The school website seems more focused on recruitment for their opening.

Thanks for insights- from the parent of a rising 9th grader -IB family- kid has been in charters since Pk3

The AP is doing a great job at handling the bullying concerns at the school.

I've been very happy with the school so far. My son enjoys it, and his teachers are great. It is a challenge to find extracurriculars (My son is loath to try something new if there are only a few kids), but we are making progress. Great communication from the principals and teachers so I can't ask for much more.

It’s a very small school. There are some great teachers in the 9th grade and a couple of duds from what I hear. This would be typical of any school. The admin and support staff are very kind and responsive. There is a nurturing feel to the school probably due to its small size. The extracurriculars, clubs, and sports are very limited which is a shame. The kids are missing out on some of the fun of high school. We told kid to start a club or activity if it doesn’t exist. Kid told us that starting a club is embarrassing and they would never do it. The lack of easy transportation to the school is very frustrating. It takes 2 buses from Cathedral Heights area which can 30-45 minutes.

They need a direct shuttle from a Metro stop. Foggy Bottom would be best

No. MacArthur is a neighborhood school. They need to create transportation for the in bounds families first.

And how would this help in-bounds students get there? Should not in-bounds kids be the first priority? A shuttle from the National Cathedral would be far more useful.
