It's really more like: 2 years or so before Woodward reopens, the department of Capital Planning will propose a boundary study with a general scope that includes X number of schools. It may include only high schools or could also include middle schools. Heck, it could even include elementary schools if they wanted to really have some fun. The board will approve the proposal. That is the point at which we'll know whether the study only includes WJ and DCC schools, or will also include other clusters.

When the study gets underway several months later, there will be a range of different boundary options and maps drawn up, all of which fall within the general scope approved by the board. There may be a second or third group of boundary options drawn up. Eventually, the superintendent will recommend their preferred option, and the board will vote to approve it, typically in November of the year before opening.

This is my question, is this poster someone who desperately wants to be re-zoned to BCC, or someone who wants to poke at BCC parents and rile them up by suggesting they could be re-zoned out of BCC.

Even the "18 months out" timeframe could change. Seth Adams suggested as much at a board meeting a few months ago.

For anyone who believes something written by the current board, I would remind everyone about the ES boundary changes passed last year for Gaithersburg #8 and Clarksburg.

My guess is the current board will do any boundary change short-notice and with superficial talk-to-the-hand parent engagement.

Since their legal warchest seems bottomless, I doubt there is any motivation to do otherwise?
