Diana would have been gutted. She would be in her third or or fourth marriage to a middle eastern cokehead and Camilla will be Queen consort.

Camilla the mistress would have never married Charles - Diana would have made sure of it. The fact that he had to wait a further 8 years after her death to be able to marry a woman he'd been tipping since the 70s proves it.

Diana would have been living a glamorous life in New York City and in London just like Jackie Onassis. Charles was being out-maneuvered legally and publicly which is why he gave her $18 million in the divorce and then she was dead a year later.

Um, Jackie ran straight into the arms of a gross old man who didn't treat her well because she was scared and desperate to get out of the US. Hardly something to aspire to. She then had what seemed to be a good life in NYC because she had a career and stayed out of the spotlight, two things Diana would not have been capable of. Jackie came from a dysfunctional background and suffered a lot of trauma, but she was far brighter and more grounded than Diana.

Jackie and her sister weren’t even on friendly terms - grounded lol.

As for the NYC apartment - she didn’t have money she needed to keep her lifestyle snd her children safe. Her FIL paid for that 5th Avenue penthouse apartment but she had to make some choices / he died 6 years later one year after her remarriage. Did you know prior to 1971 First Ladies weren’t entitled to any sort of pension or death benefits? They changed that because of her and what happened with JFK.

Diana was smart to ring out a permanent residence at Kensington Palace, $18 million in settlements and then pursue a billionaire. Otherwise she would have been a pauper like Fergie who divorced the same year.

We also don't know that Diana was just "spreading rumors" about the nanny, as another PP said.

Whatever bad decisions Diana made after her marriage, I put it down to her not being medicated properly and not having the emotional regulation tools and supportive, educated friends she would need in order to handle life. So on top of Diana being BPD, she was trapped in a notoriously narcissistic family where everyone had the advantage over her.

So yeah, I wouldn't put her in the same boat as Sleazeball Charles and his mistress.

No. She would have destroyed William and Charles’ relationship. She’s harmed enough relationships and seems to finally have realized she shouldn’t. The concession is longer she remains on the throne, less time time for Charles to be King.
