| What's up with the double masking requirement at SFS if you don't have a K/N95? I haven't seen anything from the CDC re that. Did i miss something? |
| Schools in DC are not making their own rules, they absolutely have to follow DC Health. DC Health is the one that needs to update their policies. |
And here you are emulating those who politicize the science. Strange bedfellows you have there. |
Yes. Cloth masks don't do squat for Omicron, so the guidance changed. |
| Agreed. But the recs are for double masking with surgical masks or else a single N95, if i read it correctly. A single surgical mask is much better than a cloth mask and should be adequate. Hospitals aren't making their docs/nurses wear 2 surgical masks. I'm still missing something. |
Many nursing home type facilities have used double masking, with surgical + cloth. Many health care workers actually double mask right now with a surgical on top of an N95. |
And mommy needs her wine & yoga time! |
And you need to take your medication. |
| I guess the mommy poster never had children. That’s a blessing. Or if she did, I guess they didn’t go to school and were locked in the house with her all day poor things. |
At the hospital that I work at, some double mask out of their own choice, particularly in the ER or intensive care units. But not the majority of others. Regardless, those are much higher risk environments than a high school classroom, much less an outdoor lunch. Like the previous poster, I’m still missing the science or official recommendations behind this policy. Not judging, just trying to educate myself. |
