Equity should mean the same starting point. Totally fine to spend more at some schools to pick up other schools that may be behind. The issue with AAP should be that no one gets in who does not deserve to be there. Have lots of programs to get disadvantaged kids that can qualify the right materials, teaching, tutoring. Have an almost AAP where for a couple year there is a pool of kids that are getting brought along to join. Just don't add kids who should not be there.

Yes, turns out the kid with two boxes isn't into baseball and wanders off. Meanwhile, the team goes belly up since their stadium isn't full when there were plenty of fans who wanted to attend but couldn't because of these pointless concessions.
