Have you had luck getting your mom to give up her MOM jeans???

We're talking, Rider's, Wrangler, Lee - anything available in Target or Walmart with a high waist and unflattering pocket placement. I can't take it anymore but she is being really, really stubborn. She is 60 and looks great (a size 8-10) but these jeans....ugh. I know she wants high waisted and I'm not against that - just not these Mom jean brands and looks! Have you dragged your mom shopping at Nordstroms or somewhere else? What brands/styles made the transition and does she like them now?

Your Mom is 60? So what are you 25? Leave your Mom the f*ck alone. She made a life for you so you can sit with your bony butt in front of your Mac and complain about her pants? Go get a job.

Jesus F-ing Christ, woman. OP here. I am 33 with 2 kids. How old are YOU?

I think you should stop wearing low rise jeans with your butt crack hanging out!! I mean that tramp stamp tattoo was never really cute, was it?

Buy her a pair of Not Your Daughter's Jeans in a dark wash. There are perfect for people, like my mom, who want to look more current but understandably do not like the lower rises so common these days.

Spoken like a true 45 year old Mom of a newborn.

Not OP, but my Mom is 55 and I'm 31. Not everyone waits until they're menopausal before procreating.

OP, maybe buy your Mom an inexpensive pair of jeans (Old Navy maybe?). Perhaps cost is what is holding her back from exploring contemporary jean styles.

Agree. I am not 60 yet but love this type of jeans.

My mom sounds similar, but is/has been open to my fashion advice and loves a pair of DKNY jeans we found for her at a dept. store (macy's or similar). I think jeans are the type of item you need to try on several brands, shapes, sizes before you get it right. Go shopping with your mom and make a day of it!

My mom is madly in love with Pajama Jeans.

They're low-waisted...

PP, she wants some "flattering" jeans and I do not think Pajama Jeans qualify. Those might be worse or at least on par with mom jeans, oh my!

Feel lucky. My mom's waistband is higher than ever, and she TUCKS her shirts into it. It's seriously almost under her boobs. We can't talk her out of doing that, even gently.

Lol. Not menopausal if you have a baby. You're 31 and probably don't look half as good as a 45 year old with equity and a good job. But carry on thinking anyone wants to look at your faded, freckled tramp stamp.

Nobody ever looks at a woman and thinks, "Her equity makes those jeans look good!" God you sound awful.

Equity! hmmm...about the only way I will ever look good in jeans. never thought of that.

My mom "trusts" Eddie Bauer so we found the most modern pair of jeans we could find there (can't remember the name). She does actually wear them now!!

Maybe we can try a nicer brand now that we've made over that first hurdle.

(LOL about the equity comment. Really?)
