Haha - I love it. I wish so much that I lived in NoCal, but I'e lived here far too long. You are very correct that I don't feel at home here and never have. I suspect Kate will end up on travel soccer at some point, though she's a bit young for it now. Favorite thread ever!

This cracked me up! We are both from the Chicago area, where our families have lived for several generations. Moved to this area in 2010, and don't live in McLean. We don't speak French, although I did do a 3-week "study abroad" there in college I'm a teacher, DH works for a corporation based here.
