In most games the BF/Oak/Mad/Lang are the high tempo team, but can they out high tempo Yorktown?

You don’t stop them. They have more talent than any other team. Too many weapons and too much speed. They will win each playoff game by at least 5 goals

Good to see the YT kids are stepping up to challenge the BF parents in stupid statements.

Please stop with the kid stuff. You want to be an a$$ to the BF adults, go for it (I am one, so, go for it, I could care less). I don’t care what team the girl plays for, you need to just shut up. This is ridiculous how much you like to pound on your chest to make yourself feel like a man when all you are is a tiny, tiny man

YT has EARNED the right to make that statement. If you can’t handle, well, that’s your problem

I believe chest thumping is claiming you will win every game by 5.

Who knows if they will win each game by 5 goals, but it's a reasonable prediction considering the outcomes so far this season against state contenders: Robo by 10, BF by 5, Lang by 6, Oakton by 3, and Madison by 5.

This is a reasonable prediction, the original post was chest thumping.

Was there woodson 75% ground balls, and draws, 3-1 shots on goal, winning lax. Woodson played as a team! Vs rec lax

Why was the score so close? Wasn’t there so truly curious if WP played that poorly.

WP Goalie. Otherwise Woodson easily wins by 10.

I may have used different words, but it’s not unreasonable to think based on actual results that the contenders can’t stop YT, that YT is the most talented, YT is deeper, and have more speed. If you disagree, offer reasons why the statement was wrong.

Someone needs to teach the lefty cavs attacker how to finish.

She's a freshman. Big respect to her for playing against girls who have had the varsity experience for 3+ years. You're mad because she outshoots your daughter with less experience. Grow up, get a life.

I would add that YT has proven over the season, for example, that they can come off a hugely emotional win over Western on Friday night, then stay sharp to beat Madison by 5 on Monday. Successfully navigating the playoffs does not allow for emotional losses after a big win. I believe that any of the top contenders could beat YT if the can slow down the game, win the draw 70%+, and cause turnovers in transition. Madison was very successful in the first half on the circle against YT and the score reflected that.

Yet this “rec team” almost beat you. STFU and move on.

She has been a big part of the Woodson offense and has helped the other girls get good looks and opportunities.

Madison by 6 on Thursday.

The key to being able to play Yorktown close or beat them as to control the draw circle, of course limit their fast break opportunity off the draw and be able to take a charge. I would say 50% of Yorktown‘s points come off 8 m shots. I’m probably wrong but it seems like they’re on the 8 m all the time They’re always driving. If you can figure out how to stop that maybe play high up top with contact to limit drive capabilities and then slow the game down. I think those are some keys to success. I’m just rambling while I’m driving.

Although it’s clear that YT is the best team this year in 6A, I think there will be an upset and YT will lose at some point in the state tournament. They’ve shown to have some vulnerabilities and every team is vying to beat them. No different than a dominant Langley losing to YT in 2023 state semi-finals. Anything can happen.

Why are we bashing on an individual player? This happened last week with a BF player as well. Cant we do better parents?

I’m sorry, did you see the scoreboard? It was a competitive game and Woodson won by ONE.
