I do understand the ramifications as does everyone else. At this point everyone is aware of that development you have provided nothing new and those who are committed to Oakton aren’t going to be dissuaded. I’m guessing you’re a Crossfield parent who is concerned that if you are not zoned to WHS now you’ll go to SLHS in the next review. Please write to the board so you can be heard. |
Crossfield needs it’s own forum! |
I was aware that there was a proposed development. That article says it has been approved and that it is over 500 homes. i did not know that--perhaps you did. I guess you really don't want others to know? And, again, the options are mentioned on the name of this thread. This IS the appropriate thread. Sorry, you don't like it. |
Stop using SLHS as tactics. Do you know how many more homes are coming to SLHS soon? Few thousands! Are you Oakton developer trying to scare crossfield family away? |
| Or you are trying to promote your development to get more interested buyer at the expense of existing Oakton community. |
|
Who told you those new development will be zoned to Oakton?
If yes, where they will put those ES kids? Have you asked Waples Mill ES parents what do they think of this? Over 100 low income housing! |
| Have you asked Navy parents what do they think of this? Over 100 low income housing! |
| Or you hope to kick crossfield out of Oakton so you can zone your development to Oakton? Is that the plan? |
I think directly above is what pp was trying to avoid but you’re obviously free to post what you want. |
DP, but if SLHS has more projected capacity than Oakton than you can’t really compare the numbers this way. The key is which HS, if any, will be over 105% with new housing in the next few years. That was the threshold to trigger a boundary change during the current boundary review. We are zoned to Oakton and live in 20171 with a third grader and an older kid. I personally would rather be aware of things that could change our zoning than stick my head in the sand. |

Tactics 1: SLHS
Tactics 2: younger kids, older kids Enough is enough! Any SB told you no more better option? If yes, please share. |
Do you think people are personally out to get you or something? Your posts have an oddly paranoid tone. And you need to run your writing through a grammar check before posting because some of your rants don’t even make sense. |
You are really showing your true colors now. |

It has noth8ng to do with South Lakes or younger/older kids.
It is common sense: long bus ride and growing enrollment at Oakton vs close school in your community. |
I suggest you take English AP course. |
